Are very hard to please as usual.

That was some game of footy last night.

    Tough, fast, skillful and controversial.

It was in the balance till the last few minutes.

Does anyone realise we have only won 12 from 49 at Brookie???

I'm sure it would be our worst ground to win at.

And we almost escaped with a win against a womanly side on fire.

That's twice we've played them this year and it's been in the balance down to the bell and they have played very well where we have what appears more scope to improve.

Anyone writing us off this far out has NFI.

The more things change the more things stay the same.

    What a bunch of eggs.

Boundaries change, new players step in.

If anyone gets that reference I'll buy them a beer.

Your right mate. That was our best performance of the season. When given a fair go, we were without doubt the dominant side out there.

The only real concern was our defence on their line, but Manly were slick and would have beaten most sides by 20+. I also think, as good a job as Maubs did, that we lacked Jennings speed to cover Lyon. Their was a lack of trust in each in defence on the left edge, which wouldn't normally be the case when Jennings and Cordner are there together again.

If we don't win next week, that will be cause to worry a bit

Manly will go into the finals knowing how to beat us, last year they didn't know how to beat us. If it's us v them in the gf I'll be very very nervous. The game last night was a must win and thanks to a mind numbing play from Pearce we came up short.

That psychological factor you are referring to is a very big factor, and cause for a bit of worry. In sayin that, they were talking themselves up all week, and their heads would be about to explode after beating us twice. Hopefully over-confidence, or an over hyped sense for revenge, ****s them over if we meet them comes finals

Last night wasn't a must win game RS. The GF isn't played at $hitvillebrookie!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

            Here's looking at you, kid.

Well I hope you're right backwards.

But I keep on hearing "we'll peak at the right time."

But the fact is we have played five 50/50 games this year - Souffs, Manly x 2, Bulldogs at full strength and the Cowboys away - and in those games we're 0 and 5.

If that doesn't concern you, especially when you contrast it to last year, I don't know what will.

                Yes.
It's a graveyard...they 'paint' the ball maroon and white and you never get to handle it very often.

What's changed since the days when Chariots Offiah and Pat Jarvis played for us?
                Answer; nothing.

What was the penalty count against us when we played Manly at our home game this year...3-10 was it?
Was that when coach Robinson spoke those famous words at the press conference?

Manly...the least penalised team in the NRL...it's a joke.

Whilst I agree with you most times I would like to know when do you lose faith that we are not going as well as probably we should. Unlike last year where we were winning all this close games, this time we're not. I am not in the belief that as champions they've figured out our game or they are stepping up just to beat us. At the end of the day, it is a small competition with only 15 other teams and everyone should know each others game so in my opinion it's all about our mindset. Perhaps the players are 'satisfied' to have won last year and are not willing to put in that extra. We have a history of that unlike a Manly who are always going to be competitive no matter who runs onto the field. Maybe Robbo doesn't have a plan B? Of course continuing to give away penalties, which we managed to get away with it before, now it's not helping.

I personally believe that the talent is there but the tactics aren't working and the players are just not putting in like last year.

Exactly mate. Its the same ppl saying the same old thing. The game was there to be won by 2 of the best sides. We came up short.

And some now reckon the world is doomed and its all over! We are right in this comp and have just as much chance as Manly, or any other team, of winning the comp.

I think some just like to vent. And then 24 hrs later they look at their comment and ask, "Did I really say that?"

Mate as usual what you say has merit.

                      Just one thing.

When was the last time a team went back2back???

It's the holy grail do the last 20 years. And all I hear how Melba and womanly are so consistent, and they are, but they haven't achieved the feat.

IF we do it we will make history.

                      Big IF.

Other than that I'm gonna enjoy the ride. IMO we are busting our arses as hard as last season. But it's a different comp. Each year it changes. We are there with a great shot again. A bees dick off. We have time on our side despite the doomsdayers.

Atm we have nothing like as much chance as Manly of winning the comp this year.
We might have...if we stop teams scoring down our wings whenever they like...and we stop making dumb errors.

I'll be happy with everything I've written, in 24hrs, 124 hours, and in 1124 hours.
