          To me, dropping it onto then controlling it with your legs constitutes a kick of sorts, which nullifies any catch. Similar to if a player stuck a foot out and kicked a ball coming at him on the full then caught the rebound without it touching the ground.

          I'm sure the rule book doesn't get into much detail on what constitutes a catch outside of simply the ball not touching the ground though so I concede that most refs would make that call
