Unfortunately being premiers has meant we've received a shit load of Saturday night games.

CH9 get the first two picks which is automatically a Brisbane game + whatever they see as the biggest blockbuster of the week, then Fox get the next pick which they use for their premier slot of 7:30pm on a Saturday night.

So the large bulk of our games being on Friday's & Saturday's really shouldn't be that surprising. Unfortunately it's a trend that may well be set to continue should we maintain our status as a top 4 team in the future.

I was of the belief The order went 1. Ch 9 Friday night, 2. Ch 9 Sunday, 3. Pox Monday night, 4. Pox Sunday, 5. Ch 9 2nd Friday night, 6. Pox Saturday night, 7. Pox 5.30 Saturday, 8. Pox 3pm Saturday???

Then provisions for a QLD (basically Wankos) Friday night and The Bros either Saturday or Sunday.

What people seem to be ignoring in the scheduling issue is the fact it's all about ratings and the TV stations aren't interested in crowds or families or who are The Premiers etc.

All that matters is how many people sit in front of the Teev to watch.

While night time footy is inconvenient for families live it's when people sit down and are more able to watch games at home.

I hate that this weeks game is Saturday night as I have a family members birthday to attend at a restaurant.

I've emailed the NRL and Gynge and Poxtel to register my utter disdain for their scheduling as this occurs every year on this particular weekend.

I am annoyed as I wanted the team to play St George on mine and SBW's birthday being 3rd August. Now we are playing them the night before and it's going to throw my plans into disarray. This is a deliberate plot by the NRL and Channel 9 to spoil my birthday.. To quote Bulldog Briscoe from Frasier "This STINKS this is total BS! "

I was listening to Talkin Sport an hour or so ago and a nutter rang up and complained that the NRL didn't respond to his satisfaction when he informed them of his conspiracy that Easts don't get enough Monday night games.

He was told that Easts are The Premiers.

That annoyed him to no end as His beloved WoManly had to play Monday nights.

I wonder is that nutter related to someone here???

When TV runs the game ., the game will run with adds.
The afl is run around add break s. If you ever have watch a afl game live., you will see everyone standing around waiting. Waiting for the add to finish.

I love listening to Talkin Sport, there are some special people that ring up that show and I rekon Robbo and Tunks are hilarious.
