Maloney's playing no differently to how he was last year, he's never been the creative player people made him out to be. His game revolves around being an exceptional support player and running a few set passing plays to an extremely high standard.
He knows his limitations and plays to his strengths but those strengths do rely on a team that's dominating the go forward, his 'up & down' form is reflective of the side more than himself. Jimmy has been playing with a Grade 2 AC joint and putting his body on the line every week in defence so I won't have a crack at him because effort definitely isn't his issue at the moment.
Criticism of SBW is just ridiculous, he's balanced the art of providing us everything an exceptional edge forward would along with being a continual playmaking threat in attack. We are so lucky to have seen a player of his quality in our colours.
