Stop with the excuses. Most of our wins this year have been with key players out of opposition sides. The arrogance and lack of respect for our opposition is disgraceful.

We lost because we weren't prepared to grind it out. We started to over play our hand mixed Nene dropping multiple bombs

Its bad but we've experienced worse.

        Congrats to Cronulla.
Thats a pretty good summary of where we went wrong along with a period where we had Moa, JWH and Friend off the field and lost momentum and a try we gifted them.

We we're down 5 1st graders coming into the match & lost mini at half time.
Focus is our primary problem & this Mortimer/Le strange half year change isn't working & we could have used more experienced backs "Moga?" as I said origin is a tough time. Once the other boys are back we'll shore things up and start smashing the pretenders
remember comps aren't won in July.
We may have had 5 1st graders out, but we got beaten by a team that have no 1st graders in it.

Agree with it being the most embarrassing loss I have witnessed as a supporter.

Premierships may not be win in july, but the can be lost in July. Attitude should last all season, we showed none tonight.

Good thing is, I don't think there is a standout team at the moment. I could see this season being one where an unexpected team such as tigers or parra take the tiltle.

As bad as it was if people think this is the worst or most embarrassing defeat they have short memories.

            Remember 2009???

Back to business. Some supporters here think we should win by 50+ each week. Telling you boys these games are a means to an end.
Win by 50+ or an emotional game by 4pts is still 2 comp points. Settle down.
Just saying I'm not burning my jersey yet!
24 nil after 33 minutes we should of won by more than 50
and we should of never lost

                But it's about measuring expectation.

Looking at some of the players who represented us in 2009 is mortifying.

This year we're the defending Premiers. A season removed from being one of the best defensive teams of all time.

And we just blew a 24 point, I repeat, a 24 point lead to a shambolic last placed Sharks side missing Gallen and Carney. And Lewis and Fifita.

That was THE most embarrassing defeat I've ever seen. I'm still in shock. I almost had to get someone to take me to the ER to check me for extreme shock and trauma.

Tonight was more embarassing than anything I saw in 2009 we played a club in turmoil led 24 nil and were beaten

That whole season was an embarrasment, from the coach to the players.

I think the embarrassment comes from us leading by 24 points and being run down by the last place team with no recognisable players.

I don't remember a worse loss at home than this.

                          Haha

                          $1.00!!

Put $1000 on us to win $1000!!

                          That's awesome.

Namiba were shorter odds to beat Australia in the 2003 Rugby Union WC when they lost 142 nil than the Sharks were at halftime tonight.

I was watching the DVD of our Grand Final win against Manly last night and what a difference 9 months make.

The intensity is just not there this season. I never thought we would win last season and that we were building for this one.

So perhaps we should be grateful that we did pull it off last year (Nobody can take that of us). We will still be World Club Champions even when another team runs around with the Premiership trophy at the end of this season.

Maloney and SBW should always have a special place in roosters fans hearts for all they did in 2013. That was special. It's just unfortunate they don't appear to have the same drive as some of the greats who did go back to back.

I hope I am wrong and we have a fully fit and fighting team who can somehow put their differences aside come finals team. Winning 4 games on the bounce is not totally out of the question for our roster if we get there.

Keep the faith and up the Chooks!!

                              Brilliant post mate.

You're as calm as backwards who must be getting a stiffy reading my posts in this thread.

Before tonight I always felt, despite crazy rants after losses, that we'd come good. That we were timing our run to perfection.

But not anymore... it'll be liking going on a hot date and waiting at the restaurant for the chick who never arrives. She ain't coming... that's right, the boys have stood us up this year.

As I stated in another post this reminds me of 2011 after we made the GF against St George, it's a lack of desire to put in to win.
