  • Arrogance at its best

Robinson needs to grow a set and drop a couple of these 2 bit show ponies, our halves are just terrible and our defence outwide and the ease in which the opposition are scoring tries is in total contrast to the steel they showed last season, maloney and Peace are masssive liabilities at present in both attack and defence.

There is no leadership. Neither the 6 or 7 are leaders, which isnot good in your playmakers.

We showed no respect by trying to score of every play. A leader would have stepped in and told them to pull their heads in.

And SBW has been very average this year. He is already looking to the end of the season.

After Pearce's stuff up which led to the first half Sharks try, he was laughing.

IMO Pearce didn't play any better or worse than what he usually does. His defence is 1st class he is 1 tough Rooster who always puts his body on the line. I saw a try from a beautiful ball he threw, was there a try from a kick of his? & I saw him score a try as well. He was 1 of the Roosters best, Maloney on the other hand is only a shadow of the player he was last season.

You have made some good rational posts after that loss mate.

Real shame about Baloneys form. Two weeks running he had the chance to do his job and nail a relatively easy goal that keeps us in with a big shot of winning games. But it's been beyond him. The mind is an amazing thing. You don't lose it like that unless mentally something is rooted up top.

We are definitely up our own arses this year.

We have the worst completion rate yet the best attaching stats meaning we think we can score whenever we want.
Thinking they can score whenever we want means they don't have to work hard which very few are.
And arrogance always leads to complacency which is rife in this team at the moment.

                Chook.

Last nights loss wasn't arrogance. It was the other team attacking our weakness's. 2 new wings., no fullback sbw throwing the ball away 4times look for the 1in 10 miracle ball and two refs who obviously had some coin on the $101 half time odds. The NRL played their sympathy card last night to help save the shire. Freaken joke. There is a reason they have a a lot of wood in the cabinet.
Very dissapointed in last night. A 11 hour drive for shit

Where does the arrogance start. I think it starts with releasing your back up half/5-8/hooker mid season with pretty much nothing in mrs hubbards cupboard now he's gone. From Pearce's pass to Graham, to Moas offload, to Nene going out down the sideline, to SBW's poor offload.. It was a lack of respect for the game (how it's played-field position/territory being key) and lack of respect for the sharks 17.

I say kudos to the sharks to be honest. They didn't care who was in front of them last night. Wade Graham should get 10/10 for his game last night.

I saw that...then saw that he seemed to be conversing with the referee about something.

He's heavily marked [as is SBW]...coaches of other teams have DVD players.

Of course if the Sharks hadn't been allowed to hold our players down all night, stand offside, and given penalty after penalty in the second half...the result might've been different.

Would Maubs' no try at the end have been a try for the teacher's pet teams at home?

Seriously you must be joking we played like crap in that second half, the ref's weren't to blame for that.

They were to blame for all the penalties the Sharks received...at our home ground...easy marches up the field.

Same thing happened in the Broncos match the week before...and the Sharks won.

This is hardly the first time we have stood in the face of adversity of a few poor decisions by the men in pink, so lets be honest here the effort just wasn't there, the team clocked off at half time thinking the job was done and with Mini gone no one took up the leadership role to steady the ship. The sad thing is with Mini likely gone at the end of the season there was an opportunity for someone from the senior group to stand up an be that leader interesting times ahead.
