  • Way too much credit given to the Sharks.

Fark me , they were gifted their 1st try, we handed them that game on a platter, i was present when we were thumped by Canberra, had 50 put on us ve the Dogs and whallpoed by the vermin, I was there when we were run down and thumped by a Cowboys team we at one stage led by close to 20 in Fitzy;s last game.

    I expect to lose occasionally.

To me that was worse than a loss, that was the single most deplorable half of football i have ever witnessed from a Roosters team, i am so glad i could not make it, i feel for the fans that went.

I am also mega pissed with Robbo's blase response in the presser afterwards, Great coach however some of these blokes have becaome complacent without fear of retribution, FFS fire a rocket up them Robbo.

There were obvoius stand outs for the most awful, howver i find it much easier to name Friend (again) Moa ( again) SKD and Maubs. The others between them made monumental Fark ups, bad reads in defence, dropped too much ball, pushed ridiculous passes, produced another awful kicking game or just plain did SFA.

Stranger tries hard but fark me he offers nothing, get Meehan,Hastings and Kurt Kara in the team, some fresh blood to mount some pressure on the incumbants who are still in celebration mode from last season.

And for anyone who thinks there are not internal problems within the playing group, think again, it is a miracle we sit where we do, our fall from grace is too drastic to merely be a form slump.

    Rant over

Bringing in the likes of Hastings, Kara and Meehan would be a bit dramatic. They can't win us a competition at this early stage of their careers.

Our only hope of winning the comp is sticking, largely, with the guys who won it last year and banking on them returning to form.

Barring injury I believe the only player who will come under serious scrutiny for his place is FPN. I think Robbo laid his cards on the table last night by starting Liu at lock.

If Mini and RTS are fit then I expect to see :

    Mini
    Toops
    Aubo
    SKD
    RTS
    Maloney
    Pearce
    JWH
    Friend
    Moa
    Cords
    SBW
    Guerra

    Napa
    Liu
    Evans
    FPN/Casty

I can't believe we'll see L'Estrange on the bench again. Or any interchange hooker for that matter. Friend MUST play 80min every game from here on in.

Kurt Kara is not first grade standard and neither is Jackson Hastings

On seasons form neither is Maloney, FPN and stranger.

From our spine only Friend is a standout, Pearce and Mini have more ups and downs than a 2 dollar hooker in a Bangkok Brothel.

It is a miracle our season is not dead and buried, i fear it will be shortly if under performers are not a one way pass to Newtown

James "Jimmy" Maloney and Frank Paul "The Wrecking Ball" Nuuasala are first grade standard rugby league players but they are perhaps not playing up to their full potential. I do recall James Maloney being injured earlier in the season and it was said by the club that he would have to play every match for a few months with a needle injection so perhaps this is affecting his form.

Jackson Hastings is only a very young boy and Kurt Kara does not impress beyond the standard level of his opposition for the Newtown Jets.

Whats the point of Trent going ballistic over it he will only " lose the dressingroom " over it, then we will have the Brian Smith / Brad Fittler / Chris Anderson / Ricky Stuart ( although deserved ) and Muzz saga all over again. Footy players these days want to be pandered to and told how good they are not getting the rocket shoved up the backsides.

He's getting there BAW. He's serving his apprenticeship very well. Watched him played 20's last night - quite impressed with his improved passing & kicking game.

I think he should finish the year in Holden Cup, then next year go into Newtown and be used as Morts was for us earlier as a utility and backup half when needed. I hope he doesn't debut too early either, this is one of Pearce's main problems IMO.

On an unrelated note, What type of player is he? I know he's predominantly a half but I've heard he can play fullback or hooker too which at face value sounds promising. It means he should have some pace as he can play out the back and also have pretty good defence to be able to play hooker.

he could have handled fullback off the bench when mini went off and we didn't have rts.
