So much for Morts killing it at the Titans, they've been absolutely shocking this arvo and a lot of it has come down to their lack of direction from their halves & dummy half. Way too much sideways ball movement, no ability to play direct & failing to get into the grind.

He's a poor mans Baloney. Great at backing up. Decent ball player. Poor defender. Can't lead a side around a field.

If the Cadaver can make Ben Ikin look like a world beater, he will make Morty blossom into a Johns-esque half. Without the recreational polypharmic lifestyle and thumping of Josh Lewis in back play when he showed him up.

You're making concessions to avoid conceding. Mortimer is that 5/8 you talk about, he's a support player not an organising halfback you continually want to pin him as.
