Were they the one's they made out of the scrapped phase 4 parts?

after the gov decided there were tooo many high speed deaths from the pahese 2 and 3s and the munaros they said to the vehicle manufactures to stop with the super car concept. if they didn't the gov wouldn't buy there cars for police, gov vehicles, ambos, etc. so it was squashed.....
so as a loop hole they called the phase four cars rpo83. the rpo stands for regular production option 83. If you know fords they had option codes. and the option 83 was, basically 4v heads on a 351 block , 780cfm holley , large extractors, Detroit diff and a 4 speed manual. all the same goodies as the phase 3.

I've heard it was just the holley, extractors and four wheel disc brakes. They were also all manual if I remember?

phase 3 gear on a xa. correct. hm headers, armour plated clutch pipe, 780 holley, Detroit locker diff, and of course the top loader. 351 4 v engine (hydrolic) ph 4s were a solid engine

I wish I could contribute but I know nothing about cars.

The best I can do is tell you of the time my best mate and I stole his cousins Torana (we were 17). It had cut coils and no back seat and was obviously deregistered. We punched bongs all weekend and thrashed it around the Eastern Suburbs before crashing it into a parked truck up at North Bondi near the golf course.

How I didn't end up in jail, I really do wonder some times.
