Not that impressive... he has other values no doubt. I believe he's our best play 2 & 3 carrier of the ball but hes not the try scorer he used to be.
Jennings has an even worse strike rate, it helps when your halves give you the ball and not bomb away in hope Toops gets a free home or the opposition fark up

        Baloney plays on the left.

No, I do not. He has plenty in his game still to develop, particularly learning to pass properly. He was elevated earlier this season before he was ready, and they now realise he needs much more time. Might spend some time at Newtown this year, but not in the NRL.

Is that percentage cos he's moved to the centres predominately over the last 4 seasons mate???

Wingers generally score more tries than centres, hence more wingers being in the 100 club than any position.

IMO SKiDs best value are his go-go gadget arms. 5 out from the line he always seems to find a way to get the ball down.

I doubt robbo will throw him in ahead of SKD, before he plays a least a handful of NSW cup games and forces his way into the side.

Our U20 players need time to develop as well. Elliott, Milne and Goodsell are definately no certainties to walk into firstgrade next season. Even McDonald needs some development and time in Newtown before he forces his way into the side ala toops
They are not going to pay the money that Fergo will get so as to play in the NSW Cup. They are buying him as they consider him one of the best right centres in the game, and he is that. He is, even though he plays in a different position, our maquee replacement for SBW. Whether we agree, or disagree with the recruitment, he is an elite player, and I'll be very surprised to see him playing in the NSW Cup, even for one week. SKD will be pushed out to the wing as a result if all others (RTS, Tupou and Jennings) in the back five are fit and available.

The ball doesn't seem to get to him as much now.

Our backine next year (barring injury):

                Roger
                SKD
                Ferguson
                Jennings
                Toups
                Maloney
                Pearce

That's the best backline I have ever seen in the place.

Expect long passes and sweeping plays next year, that backline needs air.

It does my head in when people suggest we could be signing Fergo as back up for next year. Would the club get him to go through all the programs he is doing now, the adverse publicity to play him for Newtown. Seriously..

I liked our back line in 98 just as much:

                              Walker
                              Sing
                              Barnett
                              Cleary
                              Elsegood
                              Fittler
                              Lam
