Nothing stops people still going to watch Newtown, I dont see a problem, Newtown was never roosters.

Roosters are affiliating with wyong which is where they just bought into 4500 juniors, makes sense.

So who will be our feeder club now?
          Pauline Robinson from the "Wall".

that's a real shame about the Jets but I'm a Rooster supporter and if they say moving forward seems the best option that's good enough for me

tend to look on this as a positive. Our club is obviously keeping up with modern business practise…constantly assessing the need to shift direction in any area it sees as a plus.
It's what you have to do in the modern day business world.

I will always have a soft spot for the Jets & hope they can keep it going.

                  It's a tough old world.

Roosters just bought into the central coast area which comes with roughly 4500 juniors for us to pick from, it it made sense that the roosters affiliate with a feeder club that is from that area. From what I know wyong haven't been affiliated with any other nrl clubs for a while.

I enjoyed going to Henson Park being an old Newtown boy who followed the Roosters it was win win for me but realistically they're are hardly juniors in that catchment area anymore so it makes perfect sense to tap into the central coast juniors and it'll get up the nose of the Knights too.

It is a shame and a bit sad to cut ties with Newtown, but this move of going with Wyong makes much more sense. Another thing which makes much more sense is to get rid of $ouff$ from the NRL and replace them with Newtown!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                            Here's looking at you, kid.

Smart move but it's sad to see Newtown go. I hope someone picks them up.
