Before anyone brings up Todd Carney, he's a classic sociopath. Alcohol just lowers what little inhibitions he has.

There's a reason alcohol is called the great remover. It removes guilt, judgment, remorse (different to guilt), bodily function control and, of course, inhibitions.

A statement from the Newtown RLFC concerning the club's relationship with the Sydney Roosters RLFC.

The Newtown RLFC has been advised by the Sydney Roosters RLFC that they will not be continuing their partnership with the Newtown Jets beyond the 2014 season.
We understand that the Roosters have made this decision for strategic business reasons and we wish them well in their future endeavours.
The Newtown club will be making a more substantive statement in due course.

I'm glad that Newtown are no longer associated with our club. If Wyong are to represent us then they should wear our jerseys.

They will wear their green and gold jerseys. I think you miss the point of these partnerships. These clubs are putting in upwards of $500,000 a year, money which the Roosters would need to find if they fully ran a NSW Cup team. It is not unreasonable that they get something in return for that investment. We do not have a team in the NSW Cup as we are not prepared, and rightly so, to spend that sort of money on players 36 and above in a roster, when they'll never play NRL. Therefore we partner up with a club like Newtown, or now Wyong, and give our excess players a team to play in when they are not required to play NRL. We are lending our players to those second tier clubs- they are the ones who play in that competition, not us.
