It's refreshing to see the youth of today still do the same thing!

I laugh at how people take newspaper stories as gospel.
Yes you were a dickhead when you were young as I was. Difference is you still are a dickhead, a dickhead for not seeing consequences of actions.

Give me your address and i will send some 19 years old delinquents over. If you are a half decent looking bitch they will only rape and pillage you. yes, It's refreshing to see the delinquent youth of today.

Yeah those do-gooders are bad farkers, fancy those do-gooder volunteers life savers saving those dumb ass swimmers, fancy those volunteer do-gooder firemen saving some dumb ass bush folks. Man, give me skin cancer, lung cancer, alcohol poisoning because those do-gooders know nothing.

If you haven't got my point OVP, too many peoples are too stupid for personal responsibility and need to be saved from themselves.

You would think a cold hard wooden spoon would wake a few ppls up, obviously not all
The Broncos, the Sea Eagles, both guilty of major off field discipline in the past and as I remember, they went OK. The Sharks had a fair few injuries so that means nothing I guess. I just don't get it . I am in debt to your insight though so please continue to correct me when you feel I am wrong.

I don't give a damn that a get players gets on the piss, as long as he plays decent footy. I don't care that a player goes to brothels, as long as he plays decent footy. I don't care that a player takes a piss in a side street, as long as he plays decent footy. I do care that a player gets followed about by the media and is put under a microscope and whenever a story about them gets printed in the paper the public judge them straight away. No waiting to see what unfolds or hear their side of the story.

He is no different to a lot of players of the past. The thing that has changed is the media scrutiny. They have a lot to answer for. If you are looking for a club where all the players are squeeky clean then you might need to follow another code.

If a player breaks the law, is charged and THEN found guilty, then I think I have a right to judge the bloke. Until all of that unfolds then I don't give a toss.

Tell me what his latest "issues" are? He gets on the drink probably more than he should but he is 19. He got done DUI, he has been charged and lost his licence. Dealt with, move on. The issue in the nightclub is pending, no judgement made there as I was not there so can't comment. Maybe you were. The taxi, no charges laid, I guess there was nothing in it.

Tell me about Tiger Woods...hell, I was rooting the guy as well, so add me to the list. I don't give a damn if he rooted a thousand women. It is HIS business and does not detract that he is a bloody good golfer.

Yeah fine example regarding those Eagles. Premiership winners when they had no off field issues, scrapped into the eight when they did have off field issues. No doubt their issues led to them losing their first 4 games this yr. Thanks for proving my point.

Another fine example, the bulldogs. Last with major off field issues, second when they got their act together off and on the field. I rest my case.

            • I would stick by this bloke if it was out of character, i cannot stick by a bloke that is a repeat offender, i dont fall for this dribble that he is only 19 we all did it blah blah blah, he is a professional footballer for farks sake, surely he can be disciplined enough to know when to stop, 3 incidents with alcohol the major contributer says the bloke does not want help or cant be helped, shit like fc we both know that if we come to work with any sign a booze in us we are goneski plain and simple, so we restrain or refrain from doing so.

After the 1st offence friend played russian roulette, the bullet struck the second time but he survived, its that time again, he must be made a scapegoat, an example to all players that enough is enough, even thickhead Pearce acknowledged he has to stop.

sack him, drop him to the 20's whatever, he obviously does not have any pride or respect for the jersy or his first grade career, give someone a shot who is prepared to do the hard yards, samuela or jones comes to mind.

he has to learn its our way or the highway

Cronk and finch pissing in the back streets of melbourne, Taumata and another playing abusing a nightclub bouncer.

Melbourne are not the clean skins people believe they are.

Regardless, what these players need to learn is self control and self respect and thats what it comes down to.

no team are cleanskins, the riff and eels blokes are twice as bad as us but twice as good at getting away with it.

the courier mail has protected the interests at the broncos for years, do we think lockyer has a sore throat from the cigs??

melb the same, the differance is our blokes are farken morons, they keep doing this shit in plain site of media/ the public and cctv footage, they a re just plain dumb

surely fans do not think that many many current players dont hit the cans, swallow pills they shouldnt and no longer snort the white powder during the season, it was rife and always will be rife, not just league all sports.

Its like that old saying, "its only illegal if your caught"

And the dumb ones generally do.

and your spot on there, some of the shit that i have seen and that people have told me is exactly what you have written.

But what has changed now that means we are getting caught more often now than we did in the past?

Good to see that there are some on here who can see consequences of actions.

Our poor discipline (on and off field) has clearly led to:
                          - A wooden spoon
                          - Loss of sponsor, unable to get another one
                          - Loss of fans, dwindling membership numbers
                          - Our club becoming a laughing stock
Ultimately if nothing changes it could effect our existence in the future of the game.

i dont fall for this dribble that he is only 19 we all did it blah blah blah, he is a professional footballer for farks sake, surely he can be disciplined enough to know when to stop, 3 incidents with alcohol the major contributer says the bloke does not want help or cant be helped, shit like fc we both know that if we come to work with any sign a booze in us we are goneski plain and simple, so we restrain or refrain from doing so.
                          Spot on rusty.

As for Melbourne, poor discipline is the exception not the norm. Totally opposite to our club atm. Their no dickhead policy has rewarded them well. Michael Crocker, a devil here and almost an angel over there.

Surely no one expects a standard of perfection but there is an acceptable standard and over 10 incidences at this club is obviously not acceptable.

Can you just point out to me the amount of changes the Bulldogs had from the year they got the spoon to this year? I mean were there any new players they bought? I saw some bloke on TV a few times that looked like a coach. Sure their off field dramas decreased but there were other factors I am pretty sure that attributed to their success last year.

I am also pretty sure that some teams that had a limited amount of off field dramas did not go so well. I am somewhat confused.
