J.Aubs under a decent coach like Smith will be judged based on how he plays this year IMO... under Bellamy he was going very well..

If we were pinning our season on Jake Friend being a good hooker, we were in for a long season..

Very happy to see the back of this one..Nothing to offer Easts..See ya later..
What do you say that ? I think he had a lot of potential, he defended well, and his a tought little man!

Jaubs has no speed, no passing game, no kicking game, no power...NOTHING!

He actually has an excellent kicking game and is probably the clubs best defender.. Friend had more of a running game but his defence was pretty hit and miss and besides you couldn't rely on him anyway to be sober on a daily basis and to stay out of trouble and the hookers.

Three strikes & your out unbelievable, how stupid can you get,
even if there wasn't a police blitz, he was hanging by his finger
                  nails anyway.

Bloody Richard Cranium Friend. will never learn.

I also agree that since Noyce arrived trouble has been at our
                  door.

So dissappointed & annoyed !!!!!!!!! actually I'm filthy with him,
when I saw the headline NRL player in trouble I knew it was one
of ours, how's that for already knowing the inevitable our name
                  sullied yet once again.

                  Thanks Friend now shove off.

Our hooker depth is pretty thin, maybe bring back riley brown?

This is where the NRL needs to support the clubs and and not allow another club to pick up sacked players, especially, in situations like this one. The player isn't really punished when that happens.

Look at Greg Bird, what was his punishment? A few months off football, a highly paid stint playing park football in Europe and a new deal with the Gold Coast.

What complicates this further, is Gallen's behaviour over the weekend. Gallen should get everything that Friend gets but he won't because Ricky will squeal that "he's a good bloke and deserves another chance".

                        Friend stood down
                        Monday, 14 December 2009
The Sydney Roosters have today stood Jake Friend down after he was charged with a number of incidents on the weekend.

Friend and his manager met with CEO Steve Noyce this morning and the Club will continue to investigate the incident before compiling a report for the NRL and taking any further action.

                              I love that connotation......

I used to toy with the fact that I made it up myself......but then I found others like me used it regularly also.........I still like to lay claim to it though.....and it fits well on this topic and the trolls alike.,......

Any person that blames Noyce is a dickhead!! He inherited this culture & those that turned a blind eye in previous seasons are to blame.. Noyce won't be one who buries these stories. He'll weed them out & Smith is the best foil he's got..

I don't care if we get the wooden spoon again if it means we get rid of the dickhead element!!
