If we were pinning our season on Jake Friend being a good hooker, we were in for a long season..

Very happy to see the back of this one..Nothing to offer Easts..See ya later..
Agree entirely, the bloke was a nuffy.

        At least Gower has talent.

          Talent for being a prick.
3rd best half at Penrith and probably 2nd best hooker.

He tore us a new one a few times and that was when we had a great side.

IF this is true, do you believe Gower adapt to dummy half or do you think Pearse will relocate to hooker?
Hmmmm ..... the last time those two got together it made headlines .....

How many years ago was that. The bloke hasn't been in a timewharp you know. He has aged, and no one can tell me that playing yawnion in Italy would require peak fitness.

He'd be just another aging, over rated, overpaid dud the Club would regret buying. Just like the other recent high profile purchases.

We've already given Jason Ryles a lifeline. Not to mention Carney. There's only so many risks you can take on at one time.

I didn't say that we should sign him, just that he was a great player at his peak, a thousand times better than Friend.

Problem (or one of the many) with Gower is he thought he was a halfback but he was a hooker

The Mack, what is this hooker from Penrith like?
I agree, Jaubs runs like he has concrete in his shoes.. A solid player but not good enough for one of the most important attacking positions on the field.. I don't think that much of Friend tbh.. He always looked unfit with that gut and whilst he tried hard, lacks real talent..

                      • Ahh yes what an astute pick up Gower would be. I seem to recall an incident at the Coogee Bay a few years back in which Mr Gower gave an inspired performance of penis puppetry to an appreciative crowd one evening.

Change we can believe in?? Yes we can!

I remember when Steve Noyce was on the footy show and he said that he had zero tolerance for bad behaviour lets see what his next steps are or his just talking crap to put on a show

                          • Friend wouldn't be on too much surely? I say keep him, heavily fine him, but he doesn't see a game of first grade this year... perhaps not a game at all. Stays off the drink for a year. Can train with the team but doesn't get a run.

Teach him a lesson the hard way rather than just cutting him where he can play elsewhere (mind you I doubt the NRL would let him play elsewhere this year?).

Wasn't he fined a large portion of his modest pay packet after the first incident ?
Didn't seem to make much difference.

Piss him off & show the kids that it's not right!! Set an example.. I've had a gutful of explaining to my kids why this type of wanker gets another chance again & again & again..

Hit him where it will hurt him most.. his ego.. Dump him & the NRL will de-register him. Lets see how he survives with park footy & no contract...
