He makes Sandow look like Einstein, as he's always trying something a chip over long and small grubbers ect.

Key players still to come back from injury, other key players recently back from injury, major key player about to stop fasting.

        We will win the comp.

So the club going into mass panic is the way to solve all this??

Yes. Or the alternative is to let it just keep going how it has been for most of the year, and keep hoping it comes good.

Panic may be the wrong word, but calm and collective isn't the right one either.

Also refs usually put the whistle away come finals so that will be a boost also...

Im not panicking yet, we still have enough time to do this and i dont think we have shown our hand yet

not sure if its a case of the players not being fit enough or not having the hunger/desire to repeat the triumph of last season, that extra gear we had last season is no where to be seen.

there is no sign that the 2014 version of the Roosters will be able to flick the switch to perform anything close to the Roosters version 2013.

obviously Jennings will return for Maubs and perhaps Evans for Casty, but is that really going to spark any real form turnaround.
Where do we go from here? Approximately 11th spot by my estimation.

I believe the current coach is already on thin ice due to the shameful loss to Cronulla at home Fletch. I've seen (and you probably have as well) a number of poor losses to Cronulla at home over the years on cold winter's evenings. They don't normally work out well for the coach at the time.

Mark Murray was sacked after we lost to Cronulla at home on a Saturday (I think) night in 1994. Graham Murray's cards were marked after a loss to Cronulla. Ricky Stuart the same. In recent times, Brian Smith knew the writing was on the wall when his Easts side lost to Cronulla at night at the SFS.

I have a theory that whenever Easts lose to Cronulla at home, Nick starts to make alternate plans.

We've lost two of our last three games in embarrassing fashion to wooden spoon contenders with all their best players out and their coaches walking during the week.

                      Facepalm indeed.

I don't think any coach or player is ever safe.

Thin ice though? Please that puts some of Badger's bad calls tonight to shame.

You're a moron trying to destabilise the club our great club, you'll have to forgive me for my hostility both now & in the future.

On the contrary, I'm just speaking the truth. If you want to be a blind defender of the faith, that's your prerogative, but don't ever call yourself an honest commentator on this place if that's the case mate.

Did you know the average lifespan of an Easts coach is about 2.5 years or thereabouts? Not just my opinion, but a fact. Handle that one.

Oh mate, and if you think my comments on The Chook Pen website are "an attempt to destablise the club" then you're delusional. I highly doubt 99.99% of the Rugby League supporting world are reading this let alone taking notice. Least of all the Chairman, CEO and administrative staff of the club.

If you can't handle opinion and rumours then don't loiter around an internet site trolling all day and night.

Shame then that your 'truth' so often turns out to be wrong, must lead to an awfully frustrating life.

Here is the scoop of a lifetime.

From 2014, however, I am also told by an impeccable source - and no to the few dullards who will reply asking me to name my source, no - that the powers that be who run this place (not just the Chairman) want Easts to start winning premierships regularly, have had enough.

Well it's not a fact because you're off by nearly a year but it's a cute stat. A straw grasping stat if I've ever seen one. What averages have to do with our current minor premiership winning, Grand Final winning & World Club challenge winning coach being on "thin ice" I have absolutely no idea. But like I said, cute stat.

If only that were true, your nativity & ignorance is disturbingly worrisome. You'd be surprised just how many journalists filter through public forums on a daily basis & how closely clubs watch their early adopters.

I don't know what your agenda or motives are but I know neither are in the best interests of Easts.

There is absolutely no leadership out there. There is no strong minded figure prepared to rip in to his team mates when they give away ridiculous penalties. Those suggesting JWH be captain next yr are kidding themselves.

Penalties kill us. Im sure there were 2 given on the 5th tackle. Diabolical.

Napa and Casty should not be in this team. They do not offer enough. Napa has been poor for a while for mine.

I have been positive after every loss but tonight showed to me that this team is more than happy with 2013. And I dont know where Mitchell Pearces head is at. Shhhh you're not allowed to say that mate! Usually whenever that's mentioned his defenders come out lol. Casty has proven to be average. His go forward is weak. His defense is not that great either contrary to what people want to claim.
