NEWCASTLE forward Beau Scott has re-signed with the Knights until the end of 2017.
Scott has played 32 games since joining the club in 2013.
“Newcastle is a great Club with plenty of passion. I want to be part of that going forward,” Scott said.
“We have some very, very good youngsters coming through and I look forward to working with them in the years ahead.
“While this year has been disappointing from a results point of view, I am confident some good times are just around the corner.”
Knights CEO Matt Gidley was pleased to have secured the services of Scott.
“Beau has been an outstanding addition to our Club and this extension caps off a highly successful season for him personally as well,” he said.

Unfortunately we missed out on Scott.
The guys up there like Rick Stone and Beau has extended his deal on the understanding Stone will be appointed head coach again. Chris Houston will do the same. Our interest made the Knights react.

Whilst it's a damn shame on missing out on him we've got two VERY promising youngsters in Meehan & Vincent Leilua to look forward to.

I'm not sure why we need another second rower with all the talent coming through. It would also surprise me as Trent said on the footy show that our cap is going to be quite thin in the next few years.

If we were to sign a backrower I'd love it to be Trent Merrin. Just imagine the number of breaks RTS would make if he followed Merrin all day. Pearce would also benefit from this too.
