on current form there is no way you could offer Maloney an extension beyond the end of 2015.
It would be more than extremely surprised if Robbo was in the same boat.Last edited by Johnny Tobin; 07-30-2014, 03:09 PM.

How is Maloney gone?
He set up 3 tries in last years GF, including Jennings' clincher, and played out of his skin.
One bad season (where we are still coming 5th mind you), and all of a sudden he is 'gone'??
If Smith lasted 2 years finishing in the bottom 8 then im sure as hell Maloney might survive one below average season.

I always thought he was a short term solution. That said I will always respect him for what he did for us last year.
Pearce too. I have defended him saying he is still young and needs time but he has to show more now.

in regards Maloney, its obvious he will be here in 2015 as he is under contract, the question is whether his performances between now and next april/may when decisions for 2016 are looming large is good enough to earn another contract.
on his performances this year there is no way he earns another contract.
player re-signings will be a major taking point for us next season, if we get to May next year and any of the likes of JWH/Guerra/FPN/Tupou/Maloney/SKD are not locked up long term, there would have to be major questions asked whether they have a future at the club.

Btw, I'm liking SKD so far this year and apart from potential salary cap issues there is no real reason to let him go. But I believe he would be easier to replace then guerra, jwh and Toups

not sure if its a case of the players not being fit enough or not having the hunger/desire to repeat the triumph of last season, that extra gear we had last season is no where to be seen.
there is no sign that the 2014 version of the Roosters will be able to flick the switch to perform anything close to the Roosters version 2013.
obviously Jennings will return for Maubs and perhaps Evans for Casty, but is that really going to spark any real form turnaround.
...can't see the refereeing of us ever changing....so basically we're stuffed.
Only way I can see us doing any good from next season onward is to build a team of giant, aggressive, "knock em down, drag em out" type players and have them bash the opposition out of matches...a la SOO this season.
Can't be penalised any more than we are now...so we might as well get our money's worth.
