Would be talking of Widdop but yes Mike Cooper has been a very good pickup for the Dragons. Very underrated player, good late footwork and big workrate. Everything we hoped Casty could be/can be.

Maloney is gone and he knows it. Has done for a while now. It may explain how he has played this season.

It would be more than extremely surprised if Robbo was in the same boat.

Maloney has been playing needled up for a good part of this season and in reality probably should not be playing, I just hope he gets to have a decent break in the off season to heal up and get a chance to start 2015 injury free.

Have you seen much of him this year?

Probably seen him in half a dozen games or so this season. Still an extremely raw talent - I think he's struggled a bit with the structure halves are expected to play within these days after coming from the Dragons where he was a free roaming fullback but he's got a very good skill base & an awesome work ethic

Vision is the biggest asset he's got going for him, it's just not something you can teach and very few halves have it. Definitely a stronger ball runner than ball player at the moment though.

I find it really hard to predict how successfully halves will make the progression into the top grade so I wont put the mocker on him by making any bold predictions.

With Latrell Mitchell being ruled out of the 20's game I suspect Hastings might drop back now which is a shame, would've been interesting to see how his skills measured up against the more experienced an infinitely stronger defenisve unit in the NSW Cup.
