Poor old R6 never misses a beat to put the slipper into our legend captain.Last edited by Jacks Fur Coat; 07-30-2014, 10:11 AM.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

The NRL have been losing credibility as a governing body for a while now , they have bowed to the TV dollars which pay the wages , with out due respect for the Game.
It is well known , Commentators make their living out of the controversy and re living their lives through others , although I believe the over scrutinising of each issue is causing most of these problems - there is an old adage " if it looks like dog**** smells like Dog**** then maybe it is Dog****" simple if the lead up looks like a try and the ball is placed over the line like it is a try , what is it ??? no the feet were here, the thumb was there , the head is looking the other way ( usually the Video Refs ).
Respect the line - no one crosses it simple, most times they deserve a try.
I have said before in other threads that the officials will end up running JWH out of the Game , not because he plays dirty just that they the officials are trying to clean up the image of Rugby League at the expense of the "Real Hard Men", ask yourselves where the Game would be without the Hard Hits , the Hard barges up the Ruck with legs and Arms driving for every advantage, The Hard man protecting the skillful nippy players??
If the Refs cleaned up the Ruck and set the mark as where the ball finishes when called , instead of allowing the PTB to advance into the defenders who have taken position by advancing forward or stepping to the side to take the defenders out of play and the markers need to readjust the D, the Game would be a lot cleaner with less Penalties given against the Defending side. Only takes a couple of Penalties against the Attacking side where they lose possession before the Coaches take action and Clean up that area themselves.

I have my phone app to watch the Roosters. Will not invest $100 per month on Fox. They buggered the NRL. I am not about to reward them with my $.
I felt disgusted and am sick of complaining to the Australian apathy. Watch the press conference and watch Mini's reaction to the question about an apology from the refs. Watch him again on his latest interview on RoosterTV where he talks about refs needing to improve and then JWH. Worth 5 mins to watch. He is fed up as well. http://www.roosters.com.au/news/2014...will_come.html
Last Saturday night, I watched the swans for the first time in years. Piss poor sport but the refs cannot bugger it up. Even the rugby looked better.
NRL, you need to focus resources to this thread!

He's got it all; a good public image, a good relationship with the media, is well spoken, is a HUGE hit amongst sponsors & corporate's, is loyal to his club, holds strong values, never excessively whinges on or off the field about the officiating, still appeals to all demographics of supporters, is the ultimate professional in preparing for games, is admired by the youngsters, respected by his peers but most importantly can still have a good time.
So I raise the same question what's wrong with getting on the drink? It seems to be a ridiculous expectation placed on modern day footballers.
And for what it's worth, 6 is Freddy's number. My idol growing up.

The other thing that I find very annoying is that the NRL (and commentators) celebrate absolute scumbags like Cameron Smith and Sam BurgessThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Originally posted by Tommy Smith View PostAs the thread title says, no longer will I watch or support the National Rugby League competition as a whole.
I will always be a Roosters fan, and I'll continue to watch and support the boys every week; wearing my heart on my sleeve in the process as I always have. I'll continue to be a member every year, buy merchandise, make the trip down south to every GF. My love for the Roosters won't change because RW&B blood will always run through my veins.
But the NRL? They can get ****ed! I have no intention of ever watching another game of the NRL not involving the Roosters. The competition no longer has my support or viewership.
Why?
Because quite simply I've seen far too much overwhelming evidence these past 18 months to suggest that the referees are blatant cheats. I almost gave the NRL away after the 2010 GF when we were cheated by Tony Archer. But these past 18 months have really taken the cake. Tonight, Gavin Badger was exposed as a cheat. Against Manly earlier this year, Ben Cummins was exposed as a blatant cheat with that 11-2 penalty count. And there are so many more examples.
In 2013, I believe our boys put in the most remarkable single season effort you'll ever see. To overcome the barrage of penalties we copped whilst receiving so few ourselves must surely rank as one of the all-time great efforts. But this year we simply haven't been able to maintain the rage against a tidal wave of biased refereeing.
I'm disappointed that we've only shown mere glimpses of our 2013 form. But that doesn't change the fact that we are being shafted week after week by a competition which is being officiated by blatantly biased and, as such, corrupt officials. Even our very own remarkably pragmatic coach basically accused the officials of bias tonight. And if Robbo felt the need to say what he did then there's clearly merit to the argument that the officials are biased against us.
Why do we always concede so many penalties every week? And more importantly, why do we receive so few ourselves? Week after week after week after week. And given this, why should I support a competition that does nothing to improve the performance of officialdom? A competition that allows the refereeing fraternity to be a law unto themselves, free to let their own prejudice and bias greatly affect the outcome of so many of our games.
I've revealed an avalanche of the most damning statistics to prove the bias that exists against our club. A bias that in turn favours clubs like South Sydney. But if that isn't enough then just consider this:
So far in 2014 we have received fewer than 5 penalties a game on 8 occasions.
Souths on the other hand have received fewer than 5 penalties a game on zero occasions this year.
How is that not blatant bias?. But no-one in the media will mention these startling facts. No-one will ask why a team with such a dominant forward pack receives a staggeringly low number of penalties whilst the referees pet in South Sydney receive an exorbitant amount every week.
We as fans are being served shit every week. And the NRL expects us to eat it. It's a multi-billion dollar sport and this is the best they can do when it comes to officiating. We are supposed to cop this shit week after week, listen to idiots in the media criticise us for giving away so many penalties without looking at the facts, and yet after it all we're still supposed to love the NRL.
Well **** THE NRL. I will no longer watch the dreadfully officiated shit they dish up to us fans every ****ing week; especially us Roosters fans. I normally watch about 4 or 5 games a week. But now I'll only ever watch the Roosters. This great club represents a huge part of me, of who I am. And I can't emphasise enough that my love for the mighty Eastern Suburbs Roosters will never die. The officials can't change that. But tonight they did officially kill my support for the NRL.
Rant over. Easts 'till I Die.
I said all last year, that the NRL's pet project was Souths to win the premiership. They did their best, but failed. Nothing has changed this year. Souths still get a leg up. How many dud calls have gone against them this year ? ZERO
They have company........MANLY.
The NRL know that Manly coped a raw deal in the GF, so this year, Manly have all of a sudden become the least penalised team in the comp, and have received some unbelievable calls go their way.
The NRL don't want B2B premiers, said it, since round 1.
This will be a Manly v Souths decider.

The lack of respect shown us when we became premiers. It's just a reflection on society that people in general or in the media now seem to come from a place of envy, spite and hate and use their positions to vent their own agendas, like Gus did because we beat his precious Panthers the week before. Not many people know how to be gracious or say congratulations well done.
