Don't approach them on the field, don't engage them in any way...unless ordered to by them.

I distinctly remember one of the refs asking upstairs what a penalty count was in one of our games just a few weeks into the season. He had his finger stuck in his ear piece while he was doing it. He wanted to know so he could advise Mini to tell our boys to pull our heads in etc and wanted to give Mini the feedback. Because we are the most penalised team in the comp remember.. that's all I am ever going to remember Ray Warren for now sadly..
