  • Robbo so calm, I'm starting to believe he may actually have us all fooled and will not pull the trigger a second before it's needed.

    • There'll be no trigger to pull if the injuries mount. Sadly.

      • can't see Robbo being thrilled with that performance, will be happy that we won but very concerned about conceding 7 line breaks and 4 tries.

        • What the **** is going on with these forward passes? I could buy it if they were called with any consistency but as it is, we are the only team that ever gets called. It started up in NQL I believe. 50%> of passes out of dummy are borderline at best in the NRL yet we are th eonly team brought up on it.

          • SKD and Jennings were picked off well by the Steelers.

They caused massive problems to both with clever passing.

            • I think JWH will cop a grade 1 careless high tackle charge, if he does he will miss time with his bad record.

              • Pretty good show against a rapidly improving opposition in the Dragons.

Got a couple of tries awarded that they probably would have knocked back last week.

Sam's hit on Widdop one of the years best. That inspires a team.

Hate the predictable bomb on the last...the one grubber we try we score.

Thought Mini was strong and great to see Jenko back. All the forwards played pretty well.

                Good quality encounter.

                • I do agree that the Dragons would have beaten most sides tonight.

If not all bar us, Souffs and Manly.

We are still playing like absolute deadsh*ts
Rubbish, tonight was a solid, if not great performance against a Dragons team who played fairly well and had the assistance of a 7 - 3 penalty count. I'd say it was a step in the right direction.

                      Agree

Hopefully our full compliment of stars are available soon.....

                      Jennings return was timely

                      • Dragons played well.
Roosters played well...can play a lot better, too many wayward passes tonite.
                        Roosters won...Jennings was the difference.

If you think conceding 7 line breaks against us is a sign of a good solid performance, then i'm afraid you simply accept mediocrity. It was still still a very average and far from 'solid' performance that we generally expect from our boys - the premiers. The only solid game our boys have churned out in the past month and a half has been the Panthers game. Tonight's performance was a downwards step from that performance, still.

                            • You all keep complaining about the penalty count but it's hard to get penaltys if you don't have the ball.
                              What was
It 40 odd percent possession? There's a big reason we are not getting penaltys awarded to us.
I'd love the boys to get back to doing the 1%. Our season last year was built on doing the little things right but sadly that part of our game has deteriorated and pretty much vanished.
Were all worried about flicking the switch that I think if we stripped
Back our playing style and returned to doing all the little things right we would start to see glimpses
Of last year and with the comp being so close we would find ourselves in another gf

                              • Those 7 line breaks would of been 20 against manly, defence was nowhere near good enough. Friend has picked a bad time of year to have a slump, his last couple of games have been terrible, all the old days troubles returning, throwing forward passes out of dummyhalf, or too hard a pas, for a runner coming thru at pace. Watched the Newtown game earlier, if Robbo is serious about this season , changes need to be made from next week to allow for combinations to build. Evans is killing them, and needs to replace Napa in the side, Dureau needs to be the 5/8th, with Maloney to half, Pearce is just terrible, and although young, Hastings will handle an off the bench spot, to offer some spark when he comes on, he is too good for the reggies. RTS just holding on to his spot by the skin of his teeth, needs to lift bigtime.
