All in all it was a piss poor effort by the boys to get down there for the play the ball, it's not as if it was Jennings who made the break it was a total lack of urgency imo.

I find it interesting that a Dragons fan knows full well that every week we are stitched up. We spoke for at least 15 mins about this last night. Every forward pass and penalty and referred try, he'd look back at me and smile to acknowledge his point. He believes they don't want us to go B2B but as Freddy said, this morning, it's been going on for 15 years.

Here is a breakdown of our penalties received this year. I gleaned most of the info from FOX NRL App after another frustrating ref effort. Didn't take me long given the lack of penalties! As suspected the evidence is damning. I am missing some info which only slightly distorts the numbers, but doesn't change the story.
94 penalties received (on my count) in 19 games = 4.95 per game
55 first half penatlies, 34 second half penalties, 5 half unknown. We average just 1.8 penalties in the 2nd half.
2nd half penalties tally broken down
0 penalties = 4 games
1 penalty = 4 games
2 penalties = 6 games
3 penalties = 2 games (both against Parra)
4 penalties = 3 games (souffs, tigers, sharks). In the souffs game we got 4 between the 42 & 46 minutes.
The 94 penalties received by type;
12 penalties = Opposition in possession (includes offside x 5, obstruction x 2, kick out on full x 2, double movement x 1, incorrect play the ball x 1, in front of kicker x 1). Basically opposition errors.
14 penalties = Inside 10m. This is simply unbelievable. Only 4 in 2nd half all year!! When you consider there were 3 each in Parra and Dogs game, it leaves just 7 offside penalties in the remaining 17 games!!
10 penalties = Dangerous (i.e. high tackles, lifting, crusher)
6 penalties = stripping
41 penalties = play the ball infringements (holding down x 14, hands x 11, marker not square x 9, strip x 3 and 1 each for push, flop and leg pull)
11 penalties = reason unknown.

7 penalties to us for offside in 17 games is amazing. That is just an invitation to every crap team in the comp to try to cramp our attack. I reckon our high error count is due in part to this.
I'd be interested to know how many offside penalties other teams get. It seems to me that referees LOVE to give our opponents free yardage to help them get to our end of the field and out of danger.
