I was more concerned about Freddy's final game. The poor bastard created enough chances to win three Clive Churchill medals and the dickheads around him ruined it.

find it strange the media haven't leaked anything about Mini's possible retirement, when news like this comes out it is normally all over the media 24hrs before the club has the chance to have a press conference.
Dean Richie tweeted that if he was a betting man he would put something on Mini retiring today.

And on the first point it would be great if they used it as motivation. God knows they need it.

BTW they have been speaking to players from the 92/93 Broncos. Gilly even came in to speak with them. They asked him about motivation to win two in a row. He said that in 93 they were coasting and going up and down. Then they got near the end of the regular season and noticed that they can win the thing. Then they got really serious. I am hoping the same thing happens here.

The good news is that unlike Milford he can actually tackle. He also has courage unlike that softy.

So there is certainly hope for a bright future in the one if he can sort out his crab hands.
Mini hadn't played any games at fullback.

                  True.

But he had 3 full years of first grade under his belt. And his ability under the high ball was his best asset.

A few dropped bombs can crush a young fullbacks confidence and that's my fear for Roger.

Well they're certainly leaving no stone unturned.

This btw is why Michael Jordan was such a genius. That insatiable appetite for winning is rather oddly a rare commodity amongst sportsman. And more than that he had an unmatched disdain for losing.

I believe you need similar competitive qualities for sustained success. I don't think you can ever match MJs fury and desire to win, but it'd be nice if the boys could bottle some for themselves right now.

                        He takes many difficult ones.

Just small attention lapses that you get from many young players. Not technique.

He will get over it and end up the best fullback in the game. That's how good he is.

not deemed significant enough to show live anywhere, I guess if it is Mini's retirement there will be plenty of coverage on FSN/Roosters website and sports news during the night.
