We shouldn't make the same mistake we did with Pearce and rush him into first grade at 18. I know we were struggling at the time but Pearce should of gone through the grades.

I hope we take our time with Hastings like Manly did with DCE. Play against the kids and then get a full season playing reserve grade. It's much better for their development.

That way when they come into first grade they can hit the ground running like DCE did.
