The better they go now, the more we enjoy it when they crumble. Short term pain for long term gain!

I reckon this souths team could've given last years a handy lead and then a hiding considering their new found pace with walker, Auva'a, and Johnston.
I don't think Souths were tested. Manly threw very little at them.

I thought that the early loss of Matai hurt them.

I can't stand Manly or Toovey and for what it's worth good riddance, they were found out by Souths last night, their forwards are second rate and their backs are slow and ageing. The only good thing about Manly is their halves and Brett Stewart.

This is also their best shot. Sammy B is the most dominant middle third forward I've seen.

Once he leaves they'll lose their edge in the forwards.

Sooo much pressure. And they'll crumble against Manly or the Storm. I'm confident of this.

Sam is at the peak of his powers

Manly lacked their usual composure, they've done the 'rope a dope' on Souths

I'm happy these 2 are favourites, we are under the radar bigtime

By my reckoning we could not be in a better position to jag it, once our full team are on the park, we have time to get up to speed.

                It's not a sprint.

The only concern I have is we may not have the bench to match it with Souths. The likes of Aubuson, Casty, Lui and Napa don't do it for me, we have no grunt off the bench, our momentum dies as soon as JWH and Moa are replaced.

Our bench is good when we at full strength.

At full strength what is our bench other than replacing Casty with FPN.

                        Napa
                        Liu
                        FPN
                        Aubo

                        At full strength.

Depends on how the coach wants to play it but I would say:

                          FPN/Guerra
                          Aubbo
                          Napa/Casty
                          Lui

That's as good a bench as anyone has. Pretty close to the best there is for mine.

                            I detest Lyon.

Loves milking for penalties -everytime he gets up to play the ball, he'll have an opponents leg, arm, head, elbow cocked in his arms, legs, head, elbow and whinge and whine at the ref if he doesn't give a penalty.

He is also a master at knocking out opposition bomb chasers - he did this quite a few times when we played them.

Apart from his academy award diving performances.

My most hated player this year.

He was giving young Kiri a bit of a hard time. Glad it backfired .

Unfortunately I think it's Souths year. It's there to be won this year. No team has improved from last year except New Zealand and Parramatta - and the latter are hardly challengers. NZ on the other hand, are.

I think Souths will play NZ in the grand final.

                                Now there's a tip.
