That's as good a bench as anyone has. Pretty close to the best there is for mine.
That's what I'm talking about. We have no recognised props coming off the bench. When you compare the Souths pack who have Burgess boys in Tom and Luke, with McQueen, Clarke, Lowe, and possibly now Sutton all at some stage coming off their bench than there is no comparison. There props average 100 plus metres off the the bench, Napa, Lui, FPN and Aubo can't manage 60 metres each on average coming off the bench. I believe our weak link is our bench and we have suffered with lack of momentum this season as a consequence.

Round 26, win, lose or draw will be the indicator of our chances in 2014.

Loves milking for penalties -everytime he gets up to play the ball, he'll have an opponents leg, arm, head, elbow cocked in his arms, legs, head, elbow and whinge and whine at the ref if he doesn't give a penalty.

He is also a master at knocking out opposition bomb chasers - he did this quite a few times when we played them.

Apart from his academy award diving performances.

My most hated player this year.
Lyons is one of the best players out there and the real coach behind Manly. He would be a must in my team and shame he wont play origin .If he did we wouldve won a few close series.

That and come Origin time even when we have serious selection headaches due to injuries he says 'nup I don't play Origin because last time I did people criticised my form'.

Yeah should have... but he opted out. IMO with Dugan playing centre now, Lyon shouldn't be given another crack at Origin given he opted out when times were tough and the boys were all copping harah criticisms about their form.

Duges, Jennings, Morris, (Hoppa?)... no room for Lyon who has dogged us during the tough times. Yes I respect his skill, but I don't respect his 'no Origin' stance and don't believe other players even got the choice?

Lyon won't be given a crack cos he doesn't want to play, I respect his decision in some way, because he could just turn up and pocket $90k, but if his heart isn't in it, why should he.

At the end of the day, origin is just a nothing game. It's always going to be club football first, everything else second. How often have we wished that our players would not be included in origin to avoid injuries and/or to be available to be selected on the club squad. If Lyons feels that club football is more important to him, then so be it. It would be worse if he thought the other way.

He's also said no to another 400k +.

"Hey Jamie, you wanna play for NSW for 30k a game? Probably earn you 600k over your career?"

                    "No."

amazing how nothing has been said by the media over the weekend about Gurgess/Luke ripping Matai's arm out of its socket, if it had been one of our players it would be front page news.

It was on the footy show today, and the big sports breakfast, most of them agreeing that burgess has more to answer than luke.
