  • Do the refs close their eyes when we have the ball......

I'm not at the titans game tonight, but some of the crap they've let fly when the titans are defending are ridiculous. At one stage the offside line made me feel like I watching a game of Union. They've deadset kept them in the game, along with an off night from skd.

The referees did let just about everything go tonight, it was consistent across both sides so I can handle it and low penalty matches suit us so shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Except we had 7 penalties to 3 .............

If anything we should be praising the refs tonight

Some of you really need to stop whining about them.

Even when we win the penalty count by quite a bit some of you will still whinge

It isn't just many on here who have noticed the refs do not penalize teams playing us - other coaches have noticed our very low penalties received stat. Not only were titans offside dozens of times tonight, but there were so many hands and knees used in the play the ball, it really slowed down our offense and earned the titans a change of possesion when a Titans knee dislodged the ball from Moa's hands on one occasion.

Teams we have played so far have had a free for all employing these unpunished spoiling tactics, and I can't blame them, I would do the same were I coaching them when it is obvious to all there is little chance of being penalized when playing Easts. Our high error rate and low confidence in attack is due in significant part to this as plays are rushed to try and create attack when the defence is constantly in our face.

The infringement that incurred the final penalty tonight to seal game was so blatant the ref just couldn't ignore it, but I was still surprised it was given.

Also, had the refs given our opponents the usual 2 or 3 times number of penalties we receive we would have lost tonight. The team is not strong enough this year to withstand the double stress of low penalties received and high penalties conceded. Last year they were good enough to overcome every shafting they received when it counted.

How wasn't Bird penalised for the headbutt?

JWH would get 52 weeks for that.

Well that's not very often is it? Some of you really need to stop whining about the whining.

The titans received 3 penalties tonight. We received 7.

And there is still a thread made about this?

Maybe I should make a thread demanding an investigation into how come the Roosters became so disciplined when they vs'ed the Titans when usually we're penalised a shitload more?

Was a massive stitch up. do we play any other teams with coaches leaving or career ending injured players in the run home?

The refs actually allowed the game to flow tonight. I thought they were good.

Even the video refs got the calls right.

However, I don't understand what we did different tonight to the days where we concede 12 penalties.

I'd rather win the penalty counts against the better teams.

there was a noticeable change in tone from the refs tonight, the agro towards us wasn't there like the majority of the season, perhaps Freddy's campaign is having some effect.

the refs were by no means perfect but at least they spoke to us with a bit of respect tonight.

Nothing. The refs just had off night.

because you could not see if it connected and if it did it would been an all in brawl

If he was in a Easts jersey he would have been sent off.
