Mon night, rain and therefore a small crowd.

Playing a mostly fit side sending their coach out who have a habit of beating us at home. Did so this time last year.

Fell behind twice during the game but were able to come thru when it counted.

Again had 3-4 tries disallowed.

Kept them to nil in the second half under massive pressure.

The best thing IMO was FPN keeping his cool. They niggled him all night. BirdBrain butted him, Fooloon pulled his hair in scrums, every tackle they did their best to make him crack, facials and stray knees. But instead of blowing up he sucked them in for the last two penalties that closed the game down.

Special mention to Stranger and Maubs, they did a great job controlling the ruck.

Reading some of the shit on here I thought we had lost.

We are under the radar. Everyone's piling the pressure on WoManly and Souffs. No one rates us. Not even a lot of our fans.

The coach was happy with our effort and the result. Just gotta beat the Tigpies who enter the game under siege. It's something we've learned to combat now hopefully. The poor downtrodden opposition against the big bad premiers.

Going back2back was always gonna be harder than winning it last season. And we have put ourselves in a great position to have a real crack.

But of course PearceOrf, FPN, SKiD, Mini, Maubs, Frenchy, Stranger etc should all be replaced with children.

I've just been reading for a few weeks, some of the comments have been embaressing, even for this place.

The issue people have is that we're still operating at 50% and its Round 22.

Now either we're about to pull the greatest magic trick of all-time and blitz them when it matters... or we're simply never going to wake up. And it's increasingly looking like the latter.

I mean that try on half-time was pre-2013 infuriation. A team building towards something doesn't come up with a 2 minute spell that God awful.

Anyway I have no hopes of a Premiership anymore. I gave up that hope after the Sharks game. I just hope Souffs don't win it. And if we can beat them in a Prelim well that'll be good enough!

Mate we are operating higher than that. We also have been missing some key players for a few months now.

And we are clear 4th a win off second two wins off first.

No one has gone back2back for more than 20 seasons. It's the hardest thing to do as a team in the game.

Every week teams we play are playing the premiers, the lift against us has been noticeable.

We are in this up to our necks.

IMO it's a shame more of our fans can't/won't enjoy the ride.

I bet you any money you want the other coaches in the eight fear us the most.

Cos on our day, on the BIG day, we have proven we can come from behind and beat a great side like WoManly.

Some of the stuff written recently, especially the bit about replacing our 1/2s with Durex and Hastings, has been embaressing. I literally feel embaressed for some posters minds.

I do agree that injuries haven't been kind.

The boys haven't played with Jake Friend for 2 years up until last night. And SBW is our aura, our confidence. We also have a few guys playing busted. If Jennings is out for an extended period then it looks lke we may never see our left edge play together again at this rate!

It's all about making the top 4. And so a win against the Tigers is crucial. We may sneak in winning 2/4, but I suspect we'll need to win 3/4 and so our season almost comes down to Saturday night imo.
