I agree we need to stay relentless when it comes to ensuring our survival as Easts. But I'm of the belief UncleNick has that in hand. It would take a very brave individual to try and destroy what he's helped build. Ruprects merry men failed, in fact it only fired us up to new levels.

The point of the relentlessness in my thread was more the way many of our fans have death ridden us all year without actually looking at the obvious valid reasons as to why our seasons unfolded as it has.

I agree fans can do and say it however they please. None of us support better than others.

I am often critical of the relentlessness. Then I look at LU and realise we aren't that bad afterall. That place is pure deJaPoo, relentless is too soft a word for the level of madness that dwells there.

I then praise $BW, sink a can and bust a number.

    Easts to Win.

    Well said!

If anything, Dave Smith, Toddy Greenburg and co could have the following plans laid out for the ESDRLF:

      1. Get rid of Uncle Nick due to the new NRL Board Member rules;
      2. Install League HQ crony as new Roosters "chairman";
      3. If the current Board resists, cut off all funding from the TV deal; and
      4. Have the chairman and new "independent" Easts board relocate us to become the second Brisbane team.

I ask our fellow fans if they think the above can't happen... Well, under the new rules of the game proposed by Dave Smith and co, it could well happen within about 2-3 years.

The best thing we can all do, is stand up, fight!
It certainly wouldn't be a good look for the game. A foundation club, the longest serving club, and recent premiers being forced to merge/relocate. 'Canna see it happening while Uncle Nick is still breathing.

Well said, in a thick Scottish accent! I agree it won't happen while Nick still has all his faculties about him.

I hope our club has, furthermore, a succession plan in place.

Mon night, rain and therefore a small crowd.

Playing a mostly fit side sending their coach out who have a habit of beating us at home. Did so this time last year.

Fell behind twice during the game but were able to come thru when it counted.

            Again had 3-4 tries disallowed.

Kept them to nil in the second half under massive pressure.

The best thing IMO was FPN keeping his cool. They niggled him all night. BirdBrain butted him, Fooloon pulled his hair in scrums, every tackle they did their best to make him crack, facials and stray knees. But instead of blowing up he sucked them in for the last two penalties that closed the game down.

Special mention to Stranger and Maubs, they did a great job controlling the ruck.

Reading some of the shit on here I thought we had lost.

We are under the radar. Everyone's piling the pressure on WoManly and Souffs. No one rates us. Not even a lot of our fans.

The coach was happy with our effort and the result. Just gotta beat the Tigpies who enter the game under siege. It's something we've learned to combat now hopefully. The poor downtrodden opposition against the big bad premiers.

Going back2back was always gonna be harder than winning it last season. And we have put ourselves in a great position to have a real crack.

But of course PearceOrf, FPN, SKiD, Mini, Maubs, Frenchy, Stranger etc should all be replaced with children.

I've just been reading for a few weeks, some of the comments have been embaressing, even for this place.

Enjoy the rest of the season whatever it may hold fellow coqqs.

            Easts to Win.

For me STSAE I have always said that the Roosters wont win the comp this year.

Firstly because no team since the NO Salary Cap Broncos has been able to do it that's including Manly & the Storm who have been cracking teams over the last 10 years &
Secondly the Roosters are nowhere near the team they were last year they do not have the hunger. Im predicting them to make the 4 & I know you will be thinking that if they are in the 4 they have a real chance to win back to back but I think that's were things will end.
Souths are playing the type of footy that the Roosters were playing last year. They are so hungry & they are doing that little bit extra all the time. Sam Burgess is playing sensational footy & is the massive drive/aura behind Souths Premiership aspirations. He is to Souths this year what SBW was to the Roosters last year.

When ever a pommie players team makes the GF in the NRL they always win.
            Gareth Widdop
            Adrian Morley
            Lee Jackson
            Kevin Ward
            Malcolm Reilly
I know Ellery made Grandfinals & didn't win & so did James Graham but that was because Widdop was playing for the Storm against the Dogs in the 2012 GF.

STASE Ive watched all the Roosters games this year as Im sure you have as well & IMO even though they are coming 4th I think they have fumbled & bumbled there way through the whole season. Even the last 3 games disregarding the second half result against a Tigers side that is just being smashed with injuries they have looked anything but the defending Premiers. They were just so good last year that it makes it so disappointing & frustrating that they cant fully fire this year.
