  • Friend/SBW/Tupou injury update

was just listening to Roosters Radio where they were interviewing Friendy and he let slip that both SBW/Tupou are right to go for Saturday night (neither was named last night), and that he was likely to be back the following week against the Warriors.

You mean he is likely to be back against the Warriors the week after?

Okay, thats a shame really as he is the most important out of them all I think. But it's great to have the others back.

Did he say anything about Jenko's injury?

I heard he is also playing this week. I guess it's 50/50 in that case.

Jake said he hoped to be back this week but was not confident, said Warriors was more likely

I think it would be crazy to risk him if he is not 100%. I would certainly err on the side of caution.

the club will put out an official injury update later today, although named I would be shocked if the club risked any further damage to Jennings by needling him up to play this weekend, especially with the likely return of SBW/Tupou.

I think either Guerra or SBW will play in the centres this week as Maubs will be required to play dummy half when L'Estrange is off.

                  Exactly.

A hammy is the one injury you don't risk. I always prefer they wait until he's 100% git and then still wait another week.

Because if he suffers a re-occurrence then we can forget our hopes for the rest of the season.

was listening to Doc Larkins (AFL) talk about players returning from hamstring strains, apparently there is a 50% chance of re-injury in the first game back which decreases in the following weeks, but it won't be completely repaired until the following season and proper rest in the off season.

Definitely not, our attack is so much more potent with Jennings and we desperately need him fit for the finals. Same as with Friend, he's up there with Mini as our two most important players. Going without him for the rest of the season would be a catastrophe

SBW would have to be a risk.

that's interesting because Friend and Stevie Mac both thought SBW was going to be playing this weekend, I wonder when this trip was approved by the club, last time he went to Bali during a bye week he got food poisoning.

Do not qualify that clown with a response he is talking out his arse. SBW was due to get clearance from the doc yesterday and if all good he will be playing this weekend.
