So you don't think he is going Samoa?

the article is on the NRL website, you wouldn't of thought they would have been advertising SBW going on this trip today if they hadn't got clearance from the Roosters to do so.

maybe after his latest x-rays the specialist didn't clear SBW to play this weekend, Dave Smith sound pretty adamant that SBW is going on this trip.

that's interesting given we play the Warriors in N.Z next sunday, surely if he was going to play on Saturday night the club wouldn't be letting him go on this trip.

You'd think the Nrl Pacific Samoa trip would be for 2-3 days, and he'd meet us in NZ when we arrive there on perhaps Thursday or Friday? Which would give a few sessions to prepare with the team and for the game. Given his skills and ability he would take little time to understand our game plan for that match.

"Williams was at League Central on Wednesday to help the NRL’s new Pacific Strategy.

He will head to Samoa for three days, leaving this Sunday, to help promote rugby league."

                  ----

Doesn't give away whether or not he will be playing though. Is it plausible that he plays on Saturday then flies over on Sunday? Not sure how their recovery works.

                    Hope he's capable of both.

I think either Guerra or SBW will play in the centres this week as Maubs will be required to play dummy half when L'Estrange is off.
Does anyone else find it odd that the club has not produced an 'injury update' this week? I think we all know the team chosen on Tuesday will not run out on Saturday, but one suspects our club is not anxious, for some reason, to update the public this week on the state of our injured players, so as not to reveal too much of the real line-up for Saturday. I really find these games clubs play (including ours) pretty ridiculous.

                              Here you go Gastro;

                              http://www.roosters.com.au/news/2014..._round_23.html

                              Jake Friend

Friend suffered a hamstring strain in the side's Round 21 win over the St George Illawarra Dragons, ruling the Vice-Captain out of NRL action for 2-4 weeks.

Friend continues to work closely with the Medical Staff here at Roosters HQ on a lighter training load than the rest of the NRL Squad whilst also undergoing rehab on the injury.

It is still expected that he will return in Rounds 24-26.

                              Sonny Bill Williams

SBW suffered a fractured thumb in the side's Round 20 loss to the Newcaslte Knights at Hunter Stadium.

Unable to participate in contact drills at training, SBW is currently training on a limited load and is expected to return to NRL action in 1-2 weeks.

                              Daniel Tupou

Tupou suffered a torn lat (Latissimus dorsi muscle) in Game III of the 2014 State of Origin Series at Suncorp Stadium.

Tupou has responded well to treatment and rehabilitation so far, training on a limited load, and is expected to return to NRL action in 2-3 weeks.

                              Siosiua Taukeiaho

Taukeiaho suffered a medial ligament injury to his right knee playing for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup and is expected to miss 3-4 more weeks of action, whilst working on a lighter training load than the remainder of the NRL Squad.

I don't believe in any of that.

Sounds like a bit of copy and paste to me.
