I highly doubt we tanked the season. The players weren't just as motivated to win. Unless you also think we deliberately gave up leads against the Knights and Sharks?

If anything, i'm wondering if Mini retiring has made them realise how little time there is left in the season (and Mini's career) and sparked them into action

Trent "Robbo" Robinson stated at the beginning of the season that they were managing the squad to purposely hit peak performance in the back end of the season due to the very short pre-season on offer to many of our players.

I have noticed that Jarred Warea Hargraves looks in much better physical condition than he did so at the beginning of the season and that his on field performances have greatly improved in recent weeks.

If we do win the comp Robbo is a true Supercoach. With the terrible pre-season and the way we have been playing to date if he then times a winning run from now it is really special. If that happens the man is a fair dinkum genius.

By the way, they had Gilly speak to them. He said in 93 they were coasting up and down. They got towards the end and realised they can win. Then they knuckled down and went back to back. History repeating? Can we dare to dream?

That is a very difficult match to play in Auckland over in Auckland as we have traditionally not played well against them. The next three weeks are very good games to prepare for the semi-finals.

Let's not get carried away. We beat a team way below strength who lost by 60 in their previous game. We played well yes but there's a long way to go.

If we would have beaten Sharks and Knights we would be a good chance for the minor premiership. Pretty amazing cause we have barely gotten out of first gear yet!

I like our run into the semis. Some good tests and confidence building games leading to the stuff that really counts. I am sure Softs would be dreading playing us.
