  • Good Luck Jake

    http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,...018866,00.html

Firstly, by this story, it sounds like the taxi driver took him to the station - rubbish. Police came, and he drunkenly abused them, apparently.

Secondly: No shit, it's your fault, Jake. You've got two options. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off, head down, off the drink, back on the footy.

Or, turn in to a drunken nobody.

It's all well and good to say it, but come back in 2 years, having done it. Best of luck. Hope he makes it.

That's a tad premature I would think Spirit. I know there's something significant in terms of contracts around June but I just can't see him returning in that month.

My understanding is that as far as footy is concerned, he has no involvement with the Club; ie, no training etc. So officially, he has no longer part of the Roosters Club

But the Club is assisting him with his rehab and he will no doubt have contact with both management and players, on an unofficial and voluntary basis.

He is a very fortunate young man with the support he's been given by a lot of influencial people. One can only hope that he doesn't let them down again.

It's all up to Jake in the end. He needs to start actually learning from his mistakes, not just apologising and making the same mistakes again.

He's already learned one hard lesson in life - you only get to stuff up so often before you pay a price. And in his case, it's a pretty hefty price.

Good riddance. Stupid empty headed twit who has to blame alcohol for his bad behaviour. Cop it on the chin and realise that you only have yourself to blame.

Exactly mun. After two other incidents you would have thought he'd have enough sense to not touch another drop.

If someone waved $500K in front of me and said give up the gunja brother I would take it in a heart beat.

Then I would do coke instead.

It will be a reality check that's for sure.

I sometimes struggle to interact with in a respectful and courteous manner with my work colleagues, let alone the general public.

Luckily most of my client contact is on the phone, where the person on the other end cannot see my facial expressions. Which is just as well.

Hope to see this guy in a Roosters jersey one day again.... will make it that much more sweeter when he takes over the reigns from Smith for QLD and Australia

                      Best of luck Jake!

He does blame himself. I for one hope he can sort out his problem with the bottle and come back to play for the roosters

I just think he has a problem with a lack of intelligence, not sure anyone can fix that

It all comes down to alcohol. If he can't handle grog then why the **** did he have it? No sympathy from me.

Not defending Friend here but surely you did stupid things on the drink when you were younger.
