  • Mini on big sports breakfast

Did anyone catch Mini on the BSB this morning?

I tried to listen to it at work, so missed a bit of it.

    From what I could understand:
    - Mini and Carney training at fullback with Carney also training at 5/8. No more playing 5/8 for Mini.
    - Jaubs and Liam Foran training at hooker.

Plus the usual standard answers; Brian Smith is great, everyone is happy, nobody knows what's happening with Willy.

Liam Foran could be a smokey at dummy half.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

I must say Foran has been largely untalked about on these forums. I wouldn't be suprised if he does become a regular at hooker for us because apparently he has a load of talent and is training the house down. Maybe Friend won't be that much of a loss for us after all.

He came to the Jets late in the season and basically took them from the bottom of the table to the finals playing in the halves.

I was calling for him to play halfback for Easts with Pearce to 5/8 instead of playing Mini at 5/8...

        Nobody listens to me...

We listen - we just don't agree

Taking the Jets from 11th to 8th isn't that exiting

I still can't work out why Carney is still training at fullback

I believe they're trialing him as a winger. He will study tapes of Taniela Tuiaki all off-season as he tries to replicate him. This is based on O'Sullivan and Noyce's advice to Smith and the coaching staff.
