Not necessarily. If Manly beat Panthers and Cowboys in their last two, OR if Panthers beat Storm tonight, then Manly and Warriors in their last two, they will finish on 38 points. We cannot achieve 38 points.

The two critical matches it seems are Manly v Panthers next week, and Roosters v Souths in Rd 26. A loss for the Panthers tonight will do wonders for our chances however.

As far as I can tell, we want the Storm to beat the Panthers.

      The Doggies to beat Souths.

And Penrith and/or the Cowboys to beat Manly.

Then we play Souths for the MP, which we could still win if we lose.

      Intense.

As far as I can tell, if Melbourne win tonight then we are guaranteed top 2 if we win our last two games.

There is no particular advantage of finishing 1st over finishing 2nd.

I just want to finish top 4.

And one win from our final two games will guarantee that.

I will be very surprised if we don't ice that cake TJ.

              Likely win em both.

If Melb goes down tonight it makes them more desperate to win on Saturday.
2 reasons to go for Melbourne.
The other so we get above Penrith on the table.

                  Agreed.

If we lose both then we won't be winning the comp anyway. Same goes for anyone losing b2b games heading into the finals I reckon.

So as Robbo said winning now isa s much about momentum as maintaining a high position on the ladder.
