  • RWB,
Appreciate your updates. I know from your posts over a long time that you are sincere in your actions.

It would seem to me that Jake had surgery to stop the bleed. This needs to fully heal before he could even consider getting back on the field and would need surgeon sign off. Otherwise he risks ending back in hospital.

Optimistically, I'm still hoping for a speedy recovery to help our chances but not at the expense of his full recovery.

      • WOW I have just read the last few pages RWB I know you have Jakes best interests at heart but you are way over the top here, It is only natural as supporters we all want Jake to play again this year In saying that I do not think there is a single supporter who would feel let down if Jake was unable to play again this year

He has had surgery and needs time to heal. I read here you saying about the loss of blood and how draining that would be on ones body and needing time to recover,in his favour though is he is a young man who is an elite athlete so his recovery time should be quicker than that of the average young man of his age.

I have no idea if he will play or not For the sake of speculating though and without wishing to put any pressure on him I will say I do think Jake will be back He is a young tough and fit man and there is no way he will not play if he is physically able and given the all clear to get on that field

        • was just listening to Mini on Roosters radio and he gave an update on Jake's condition, apparently he will be obviously on bed rest for the next week, but at this stage it is hoped he will start running in around 10 days (obviously won't play straight away)

from what Mini was saying, after the initial healing period, progress can be quite rapid.

obviously no one is going to push Friendy if he is not ready, but things are sounding a lot more positive than the early diagnosis.

And of course we want to think he'll be back this year - he's our best player. Why is that a problem? You can bet the wants to be back this year too.
              Well said.
