Agree with your comments on the follies of dr google but can hardly subscribe to the mail being gospel just because it came from a family member !

Writing off our season on losing jake shows scant regard for the versatility of maubs. He has been quality as a fill in rake albeit no jake

    • Gutted!!!!! For us and for him. He went for so long without injuries that I thought he was invincible and now he gets two in a row.

well said on all counts, I believe our team is good enough to cover for Jake and challenge for the title.. the only positive to come out of this is that Aubbs has the opportunity to get his head around it before finals..

        • That's just terrible news for young Jake - hope all goes well for him and he is on the right side of his recovery. It would have been very distressing for him when his condition started deteriorating last night. Best wishes to him.

          • It just goes to prove that things indeed do matter more so than football.

My best wishes go out to Jake his family and his girlfriend and Jake I hope you have a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.

However, I think, what has happened might actually galvenise the team. Jake is arguably our most important cog and most consistent performer....but I see (hope???) this will actually spur on the other members of the team (who are actually no slouches by the way) to greater heights.

Let's do it for Mini, 'let's do it for Sonny, let's do it for Jake and lets do it for the Red White and Blue!

            EASTS!!!

            ROOSTERS TIL I DIE!!!!

I am so overcome with pride and emotion I could EXPLODE!!!!!!!

                Indeed.

If anyone does get any news ... it'd be good if they had the time to post it today.

                • Medical staff wont know till much later in the week when the need for drainage dissaptes.

the cavity will fill a number of times, can be a few litres of blood till healing takes place & drainage no longer required

from the sounds of it this injury was the result of knocks received the past weeks & finally exacerbated during the storm game

best case scenario could be 3 weeks or more.....or out for the season

                  • By the sounds of it I am not expecting him back this season. I pray for a full recovery.

It just brings the field back to us a bit. We have the cattle to fill in but they are big shoes to fill.

                    • as soon as I told my 4 year old daughter she sat down and drew jake a get well card

now she is driving me nuts wanting to give him the card

wishing him a speedy recovery - his health is number one priority

we can still win the comp without him - just a little more difficult than if he was playing

                        • As much as I want to see the mighty Roosters lift that trophy again this year , it's just a game and the players welfare is paramount. It's a scary injury to go through.

                            • He will need physical therapy and possibly occupational therapy continuing after discharge from the hospital 2 to 3 times a week for 6 weeks so he wont be back this year. It is not worth the risk.
