I know he probably shouldnt play again this year due to the seriousness of the injury, & RWB has spoken to his family and that seems to be the consensus.
But this is Jake Friend we are talking about. And when you consider that, I wouldnt be surprised at all if he plays finals. He is one tough %$#@!&%$#@Embrace the Hate! JC

I expect to see jake run on in the grand final even if its from the bench, theyre not going to deny this nugget another gf ring! in the meantime well work it with best we have wether it be maubs stranger or dureaux? I leave that up to robbo!

UPDATE FROM THE CLUB - sounds like good news to me.
Further to his diagnosis of a Haemothorax, Jake Friend underwent a surgical procedure to locate and identify a source of bleeding late Sunday afternoon, and this was successful.
Jake remains in hospital and has shown marked improvement in the past 24 hours.
It is anticipated that Jake will be discharged within the next 48 hours.

great news that he should be ok to leave hospital in the next couple of days, football is the last thing he needs to worry about at the moment after what he has just gone through.
the best medicine for him now is obviously rest, but the boys could certainly cheer him up on Thursday night if they can dispatch the vermin.
