Can someone please tell my why sign an established albeit Super League Half that can play 6,7 or 9 who was one of the better halves in Super League before he was injured and not play him. Is Dureau playing that badly, I am asking as I don't know.
Dureau was awesome for Newtown. I reckon if he'd been there all season, they'd have finished top 4.
Saying that though, he's a halfback. I can't imagine why anyone would put him in the middle on Thursday to be trampled by the big souffs pack. Nor Hastings for that matter....surely Kara would be in front of both of them, at least he's a dummy half.

Playing ok at halfback in NSW cup level but cannot play hooker in the middle of the ruck because he cant tackle.
stranger was looking very good before he got injured, be a bit short of match fitness now though? id consider starting stranger with maubs as relief back up, gives us another big fwd on the bench to soak up the souffs fwds as maubs can back up for backline as well as hooker!
I get bashed up whenever I suggest this but I'd play:
9 Pearce
7 Maloney
6 SBW
For short term Jake absences.
Think it works.
Definitely not, Pearce's role in attack cannot be underestimated. Even when he isn't setting them up, he is still the most important player of our attack.
