More the old Easts than just Horrie but still.
If SoH works a run around tonight, I'll die of excitement

JWH will take them on...all 4 of them if he has to..I wish Jackson a successful and enjoyable debut. Even Rabs Warren may go into raptures speaking of his pedigree.

I agree it seems like a massive risk. The thinking must be that he may be needed for the finals if Jake doesn't come good so they may as well start now. Just hope it doesn't backfire and ruin his confidence because he will be targeted.

Great news but if it's a hooker they want I would have liked to see TR go with Alex Thomas.

I don't think there was much choice so I am not so sure he is ready. There is no doubt it wouldn't have happened but for Jake injury.

However, he killed it playing hooker for Newtown a couple of weeks back.

It certainly adds a level of excitement for me.

Good luck to young Hastings, let's all just support the kid, no matter how he goes tonight. You'd think he would get only 10 or 15 mins depending how things pan out, so I think it's a great move from TR, it may be our No.9 combo for the finals, so may as we'll find out now.

Trust in Trent. He would have had the team prepare for injuries all season, that is why we have versatility.

Jackson (SoH) may only play limited minutes but I'm sure his father will be so proud and make every tackle with him.

Congratulations to SoH and Horry (The Original). A big day for both.

                    PS I'm so very excited.

Big call by Trent but obviously he has confidence in him as too our coaching staff. he is surrounded by smart people in a great club and with his dad back in the country I am thrilled for him and so too will his team mates. I refuse to use the term kid it's such a cheesy patronizing term used by many and in particular the pathetic commentators.
I am thrilled to have flown in from overseas to see Mini and SBW last home game and a real bonus to see Jackson's debut.

Congrats to you Mr Chook and Jnr Horrie's close family. A proud occasion for them and our club.

No doubt an emotional Horrie will be watching on with enormous pride

Thanks Gman. I'm on edge already, god knows how Jacko must be feeling right now. I hope to catch up with Horrie tonight, haven't seen him in about 15 years since he moved to the States.

Big call by Robbo. I am very nervous for young Jackson.
But Robbo really didn't have much choice and if we're going to play Hastings, it's best to try it now than in the actual finals. At least this way we'll get a good indication of how he goes, remembering he's playing out of position. The biggest problem for me is it leaves us one forward down on the bench. And there is no FPN for the agression factor.
But well done Jackson and good luck. And GO EASTS!

The toughest circumstances for a debut since John Rheinberger in 75.
