Trent "Robbo" Robinson also said a couple of days ago that he was not concerned about the short turnaround and that the team would be fully prepared but perhaps you are right and what would the coach know?

Then why did he only train them once this week?

      Anyway we won. Be happy.

I do not understand why you would ask me a question that I can not answer. All I can refer to you are direct quotes to the media from Coach Robinson where he stated he was not concerned about the short turnaround.

I agree, there were certain points late in that game that we could of wrapped that match up, the toops pass, the maloney kick, and guerra not getting to the tryline from that inglis tackle were not due to fatigue.

Sonny was warming up to the task tonight, he could be deadly for us in the finals.

Do you think Robbo is completely open with everything he says to the media? He tells them what he wants to tell them. Even though some coaches would whinge about that, Robbos norm is to avoid looking like a whinger.

Of course he will say that. Anyway we won, be happy. The way some are carrying on here tonight you'd think we just got smashed.

Anyway we'll just agree to disagree on this and move on.

Could our team have scored those points against 13 men? Only 8 points were scored under these circumstances.
Sure that sin bin was a massive difference in the game. But it happened and it is fact now. What happened after, Souffs were desperate and got a roll on, we mentally relaxed slightly (maybe that was due to our recent workload), maybe the game plays out differently and we defend more and never relax or Souffs don't get that roll on.

Like last week against Melba. They felt they mentally relaxed late in the game and we took full advantage. We got a massive roll on and put them away.

It happens every week, a team dominates a game and another team gets a bit of luck and gets on a roll and anything can happen.

Yes we benefited from a sin bin. But equally I believe Souffs benefited from playing a few games in a row with a full turnaround.

I believe both scenarios affected both sides.

                We just handled both better.

                The FlogPen .

                You know it makes sense.

I do not believe that Trent "Robbo" Robinson avoids being a whinger because I believe that he is not a whinger and he understands that sometimes our team will get a lengthy preparation between matches and sometimes they will get a shorter length between matches.

Lets not forget had the souths player not committed the professional fal we would have scored in the next play. We were punching holes in them.!

The first try was scored on the other side of the field, SBW had been running at Keary all night, faking to pass, passing, basically terrorising him. The tries came from sustained pressure down that RHS of the field. The late pass to PearceOfJackGison was sublime, there was no gap, he was marked, the pass created the space.
Let's not mention that the pass to Mini was only backwards in rugby.
BBQ got a bit lucky, but so did Luke (from an offside pos'n)

Short prep tired them out. Robbo said before game in doesn't matter, he can't give the players excuses to not perform. He wouldn't have known they'd fade out. I think they would have scored those tries with 13 on field. They were rolling through them easy. If anyone has done heavy physical/endurance sports knows, you need rest. If short turnaround, you start energetic but sore. The longer it goes your energy levels are near empty.
