The Daily Telegraph

In a disappointing conclusion to the 2014 NRL competition rounds, Manly Warringah last night lost to the North Queensland Cowboys. In the process, they became the 15th team not to win the Minor Premiership this year.
The Daily Telegraph contacted all 15 non-Minor Premiership winning coaches who all expressed their disappointment at the result. Manly coach Geoff Toovey pointed out that although his team finished "at the top of the ladder", they didn't finish as top of the ladder as they needed to actual win the Minor Premiership. Souths coach, Michael Maguire, said that he was heartened by his team's near non-losing of the Minor Premiership and were now focused on winning the ultimate prize - the 2015 Charity Shield.
All 15 clubs are hopeful of a better performance in the future.
(Footnote: Another team, not one of the 15 mentioned above, won the Minor Premiership. More information when it comes to hand...)
