Because ANZ is a shit ground to watch football from. You are so far from the action. Being so far away also dilutes the crowds effect on the team. I think people who don't go to the games just don't get how much of an advantage we would lose by being forced to play at ANZ. As bad as Gallop was at running the game, he looks like a genius compared to the incompetent bunch in charge now. How can there be no decision on where the games will be played 6 days from the start of the finals.

It's simple...Roosters playing Panthers or Cowboys at Allianz...the Pen on fire, the crowd on fire, the place is a cauldron....urging on our team.
At ANZ...like playing in the outback.

Fark the NRL if they pull this shite, forfeit the game, still count got the boys that are suspended, we would still get a home semi the week after, and no injuries or suspension, be a nice time of the year for a week off

Dude if we can't beat Penrith after a 10 day turnaround we can hardly blame the ground. Yeah not a great place to watch but if it's a choice between Penrith at Homebush or Cowboys at SFS I'd say the club would happily choose Penrith and just get on with it rather than whinging about something that's not gonna change. As should we as fans.

That made me smile, I've never heard anyone refer to the SFS as a cauldron!! But yes its most definitely an advantage.

If it is the Panthers we end up playing, then ANZ will be closer to their supporter base than ours. Effectively, they will get the home ground advantage.

                  Yes we can.
I'll be blaming the ground if we play at ANZ and lose!
...and blaming the Club, for the advantage we lost because they didn't scream with outrage loudly enough at the NRL.

Homebush is less distance for me to travel which should be factored in.

Well I hate the place with a passion and will not be going to the match if it's played there.

It's the Allianz cauldron for me...or nothing.

With the Pen-ites close to the field on halfway cheering and chanting loudly, banners waving in the breeze like ancient battle standards...and Roosters fans near and across the stadium from them also making a lot of noise in support of the team...sure resembles the old Colosseum...except that instead of Christians being fed to the lions, it's 'grain' being fed to the Chooks.

Gotta make other teams fear coming to Allianz.

The club organises massive screens at hq and we all go there to watch the game and boycott anz

The club firstly doesn't choose who we play but you kind of contradict yourself. Why would we fear the Cowboys with the home ground advantage if we were to end up playing them. I most certainly would prefer to play them at Allianz than Penrith at ANZ. You have heard the term 'home ground advantage' before I gather.

Sunday afternoon footy sounds good to me.

                            Surely they won't shaft us.

If they are doing it to optimize financial returns I find it bizarre that the NRL would put a semi between a team that lays claim to in excess of 30,000 members and another club with over 12,000 members in into a stadium with a seating capacity of 44,000. Are they expecting a large percentage of ticketed members not to show to make way for non ticketed supporters?

Aside all this there is a tradition that you do well in the regular season you get an advantage.

                              Manly should be at Brookvale

                              Roosters at Allianz

The NRL's disrespect for last years two grand finalists is obvious as is the selling of the soul of the game to two media outlets.

The AFL for ever laughing at our games administration's ineptitude.

Yes I think that's the main thing.

I'd play them in the car park as long as its in the daytime.
