Well it is the NRL it's not the ERL mate.

They have to make decisions based on what suits all the clubs, the TV and the other codes with the availability of grounds.

It's the same as the draw, it must be a logistic nightmare and impossible to please everyone. NZ are 2 hours behind, QLD require a Friday night game, Melba and Penwiff and the Cowplods and The Faiders and the Titties (among others) don't rate, there are 5 day turnaround rules, rep games and there are special rounds like rivalrys and special games and events. There are many more things also.

The problem is this forum is only thinking about Easts.

That's fair maybe but not very realistic.

I bet the players and coach don't give a fark about who we play, when we play or where we play.

Just control what we can, the results.

    The FlogPen .

    You know it makes sense.

I'm coming down for this game but the thought of going all the way out to this shitbox in front of 20k is enough to make anyone change their minds.

      Utterly ridiculous.

Congrats on finishing 1st... here's ya "reward"!

Probably not much we can do.

But we should rip into the NRL in the media.

Makes absolutely no sense!! Neither the 1st nor the 2nd placed teams get a home final? Great organisation skills there NRL.

PS - Hadley's a jerk (although he's just the messenger here, he's still a wanker, time to punt him for some kid who can dribble out the same crap in an overly confident voice!!)

I beg to differ. It is not about what suits 'all clubs'. It is about what the plans were, whether they are plan A, B, C whatever and as the top 3 have already been announced, then at least, that should be out so people can plan and make the game. One of the advantages of coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd is that you get the most favourable draws and also they know it so they can win it or tank it if it doesn't suit them unlike for those coming 5,6,7. For those teams that are still unsure, they should at least have some idea of where the next games will be held. As a professional comp, they do drop the ball many a times. Anyway, at least we're the best, again!

sunday arvo at sfs sounds very good to me? the ground might be a bit of a mess but its a mess for both sides, just doesn't suit rts too much the rest of the mortals can just run straight, except skid of course?

The funny thing here is that everyone's been whinging about us getting no Sunday afternoon games all year and then it looks like we may get 1 and everyone still whinges???

Doesn't playing during the day suit us better?

I bet the NRL would be hoping the Panthers play us and not the Cowboys and that will be their justification for ANZ stadium being halfway between the two sides.

if they shaft us to ANZ, unfortunately the only way we can stand up to the NRL is boycotting going to the game to hurt them in a financial sense, would be a really bad look for the game if only 10k turned up to a final at a stadium that holds 82k.

We're not going to play at ANZ so Manly can play their "home game" @ the SFS.

Just wait for things to unfold, there's no way we wont be playing at the SFS, we are the minor premiers and the only club with a genuine claim for it being our home ground. Common sense.

                              Hi friends,

If our club were to play at Stadium Australia next week I would love to see a turn out of over 20,000 people which would be more than South Sydney had against the Melbourne Storm in last years semi-final match. To get a higher crowd than them on their own "home" ground would be amusing I believe.

the problem the NRL has is a contractual obligation to play 1 game at ANZ and 1 game at Allianz, a lot will hinge on who finishes in 5th spot and gets a "home match", if the Panthers win and finish in 4th spot there will only be 2 games in Sydney, unfortunately for us they have set in stone the vermin vs manly match at Allianz on Friday, meaning we get shafted to ANZ stadium.

in the scenario where the Panthers or Bulldogs finish 6th there will be that extra game in Sydney which means we would likely get a home final.

basically it boils down to who we play next weekend, if its the Panthers it will be at ANZ, if its the Cowboys it will be at Allianz
