Hastings is still only 18.

And Jimmy, when on form, is the most dangerous 5/8 in the comp. His style of play is pretty unique in the NRL today for a 5/8.

He hits a hole brilliantly and also has an excellent passing game.

We'd be crazy not to re-sign him to a two year deal.

Hastings time will come.

In a recent Newtown game he came on when they were behind 28-0. And they went on to win 30-28. I would say he went ok.

Won the prior game for them single handedly too when Taumata went of injured and he shifted into the halves.

The kid is very talented, it'll be a big decision for the club next year. Hastings has the higher potential ceiling & will be a lot cheaper to retain - in the end the salary cap may end up making the decision for them.
