saw the slow mo of the incident and there was separation of arm to body. Does this mean "not a shoulder charge" under NRL rules?
what BS rule is that?
I suppose this is the angle they'll put forwardWritten and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

With the NRL judiciary... if Bellamy kicks a stink and says there should be no charge then the ref gets sacked and the charges dropped.
If Billy Slater kicks a guy in the head then that's fine because he knew Klemmer was going to tackle him in the air (rather than as he landed) so Klemmer should be suspended instead.
If Isaac Luke kicks a guy in the head and fights it... well he was asking for it because he did a heavy tackle on a Souffs player. Retaliation is totally reasonable.
If Paul Gallen punches a guy then that's a defining moment!!! He was the big man and stood up for not taking BS!!
If the refs see a good chance to suspend a couple of important Roosters forwards on technicalities while Friend's out then they'll do it. IMO Napa's only choice was to challenge it because at best he'd get 3 games for pleading guilty... which is potentially the whole finals series.

I predict the suspension will stand and Napa will be out for 4 weeks - meaning the end of his season. Roosters players rarely get off this things unless through a technicality like with Mini a few years back.
I think we should have challenged the grading and possbily had him back for the prelim.

The brain snaps of all brain snaps.
Napalm is there to replace pLOD as that nasty individual no one likes to play against. Then FPN is out so the kid feels the need to step up even further. So he oversteps the mark. I like his style.
Hope he gets off. Imagine the tears in the media.
I think Quentin Pongia's brain snap when he rushed out of the goal line defense to punch an opponent and conceded a try in the process is stilll the stupidest thing Ive seen.
But agree with the rest, you need a player who can take the attention of the opposition and the refs when things are heating up on the field. LOD with his experience was a master of this, Napas got the aggression just needs more time to learn.

I personally think the grading is too high based on other shoulder charges I've seen. If he pleads not guilty, the onus of proof will be on the NRL to prove that the charge/grading is correct. If they can't then they can't slip the grading down and charge him again... he'll get off because the charge was wrong.
If he's found guilty he can still appeal the 4 week sentence and possibly get 3 weeks... which was the best possible outcome if he pleaded guilty. I don't think he's denying himself the chance to challenge the penalty, he's just saying 'the charge is too harsh... it was careless, not reckless... there was no malice and the guy went off because he had an unrelated ankle problem! I don't think the refs can prove this was reckless and even if they can it would be on the lower end of the scale so wouldn't be 4 weeks...'
