I've always like Nick Kouparitsis. He isn't the most talented player but he plays to instruction and that's better than half the playing group last year. He will listen to what Brian Smith has to say and he'll go out there and do exactly that and that's why I was impressed in his limited appearances at hooker last year. He seemed to be trying to get each player organised into their roles to play out the set but he didn't seem to have the authority that a specialist hooker would dictate to his forward pack. Little things like these if they can be fixed can lead to a good foundation being laid to win the game.

exactly!!!!! very well said. i thought given he was thrown into our shambles last year, he performed solidly in various positions we threw him into, and thus satisfied the clubs need for a utility/filler. once again i think you'll find there is some dog hate creeping into these opinions, koops seems like a decent young bloke willing to give it a red hot go. i cant quite work out why braith anasta isn't given this same treatment...Originally posted by Rooster_6 View PostBased on what?

During his time at the Dogs he showed plenty of potential and skill, he's one of the more talented backrowers we have at the club in fact. He's been pretty unfairly criticised during his time at the Roosters, Freddy put him in a poor team in a position he's never played before.

I'm willing to give the guy some time, I think Smith will take a real liking to him... very similar to Zeb Taia.
