I'm not worried about the future of the fullback position.

RTS has really went into his shell during the second half of the season. I noticed that quite often when he switches with mini in the opp 20, he is quite content with sitting on the blind allowing pearce and maloney to overcall him. He is our xfactor in that zone so he needs to be involved more.

excited to see what RTS can do at fullback next season with a whole off season training there, good to hear him talk about how he is working in his grubber kicks and cut out passing, if he can slowly implement both those aspects we will become a much more deadly attacking team.

That old adage that the fullback is just another 5/8th applies to Sheck. That's how he should play.

With RTS at fullback I am more worried about his defence and handling of bombs. Mini was brilliant last Thursday under he high ball. Not sure if RTS is as secure.

Yep, he has been very quiet, the ball seems to head to jennings and toops at least twice as much though.

Do you remember his tackle on Ferguson? He can tackle. He got balls!

I do and he's made several others as well as a highlights reel that somebody who has been playing for 10 years would be proud of.

I have the utmost confidence that RTS will be the premier fullback of his era - hopefully with the Roosters his entire career. Despite his obvious natural talent he is one of the most humble people going around and has a strong willingness to learn.

The similarities between him and Mini aren't scary but they both started their careers on the wing, are only 3cm difference in height (Mini 181cm, RTS 178cm), have a great work ethic, an excellent understanding of the game and RTS will be in his 4th year at the Roosters the same time that Mini had been when he first played fullback in the WCC in 2003.

The bonus is that RTS has been learning his trade (the fullback position) from one of the best and I believe this will stand him in very good stead next year and beyond.

Furthermore he apparently has a very good passing game extenuating from his Union days which would another dynamic to the Roosters backline. I haven’t seen his kicking game but he certainly has more ticks than crosses.
