  • The Shepherd Rule

100 times this year I've seen an attacker run into the back of a teammate and stop dead as a result.

The attacker stops, then plays the ball and it's play on.

Tonight Maloney did so and for the first time this season a penalty is given to the opposition.

    Can anyone explain why?

Because he was wearing a roosters jumper and Mawell's a cheating carnt.

correct why wasn't that last ball thrown into play deemed to be thrown forward it landed on the line which was ahead of the player so must have been forward?

Went back then bounced forward. Play on.

Kurt has answered the question and I will pose another. They went back and penalised JWH for his accidental contact on kite. My question is, how far back can the officials go to penalise a player for such things? Is it one minute, one tackle, one set, two minutes, two tackles and so on?

There is no consistency and we always seem to be on the wrong side of it.

Ref's argument was that it was a hospital pass and Idris was denied the opportunity to pressure the attacker. He has a fair point but once again like the Casty no-try, and Maloney's "accidental forearm", these pricks are making up new rules as they go.

What about the one where Mini jumps in the air and Coward clearly shoulders him off the ball, mid air???

                  Vidiot lost his tounge.

The players asked the question at the scrum. The Reffs pretended they were blinded and missed it.

Or the penalty goal. They can reverse decisions, did so 3 times against us, but when it showed clearly PearceOrf never touched the footy why couldn't they just put a scrum down???

I thought the vidiot could no longer overrule the idiots in pink when it comes to strips etc.

I don't recall it happening all season?

                      This is just getting ridiculous.
Let the vidiot rule on everything.

I gotta agree with lonerooster at what point does the game just continue on? All this talk of keeping the game flowing and fast there is really no place for a video ref call in the general play with this fast paced mantra. Especially when your players don't lay down like ours.

Robbo hit the nail on the head when he said that refs were just not up to it.
